JET JPM-13 Molder/Planer - Great Condition Plus Many Molder Blades
This auction is for a JET JPM-13 molder/planer. I purchased the machine directly from JET in 1998. And we used it to produce moldings for one house remodeling job. Since then, it has been used occasionally for some molding work. I am selling this unit because I decided that a separate planer and a separate molder(a DeWalt and a Williams& Hussey) would be a better fit for my shop. This machine is in very nice operational and cosmetic condition. Although it is dusty from being in my shop(as you can see in the pictures) The paint on the molder looks excellent and appears just about the same as when I bought the machine new. The cast iron bed is clean and not rusted. When the machine was last used(about two years ago) it continued to produce fantastic moldings and did a nice job planing. The planer blade in the machine probably needs replacing ... moreto produce smooth cuts. The bearings and the lifting gear probably also need to be lubricated. This auction also includes a large number of molder bits. Many of these molder bits were originally purchased from Sears Craftsman for a molder/planer/joiner unit that I had. They fit perfectly in the Jet molder's head- it is exactly the same"Foley-Belsaw" design. That was one of the reasons that originally I purchased this machine) These molder bits include a wide variety of molding shapes and some crown moldings. Some of the bits have never been used. These molder bits represent several hundred dollars of investment. I often thought that I had as much invested in bits as I did in the machine. These bits should give the buyer a big headstart on using the machine. JET currently sells the JPM-13CS- pretty much the same upper unit on a closed stand. The price is typically around $1500. You can still find the JPM-13 open leg version on Amazon for around $1200. Rockwell Invicta Delta RC 51 20" Planer 5HP Single Phase Powermatic Jet RC-51
Up for auction is this Rockwell/Delta 20" wood planer. This was built in December of 1984 and has seen light use all of its life. I bought this out of a high school wood shop that was abandoned over a decade ago. This is in great running condition and is very solidly built. Great for a residential garage shop. All of the feed rollers and bearings are smooth like they should be. This has high quality SKF bearings. The weight is close to 1300 pounds. The 4 knives are sharp and this is ready to use. This is powered by a Rockwell 5HP single phase motor 3450RPM that draws 21 amps 230 volts. This has feed rates of 16 and 28 feet per minute. only issue I see is the rapid table feed will kick out of gear occasionally and therefore needs adjusting. This is a really high quality unit that is much better than the newer Grizzly or Jet units. I will ... moreinclude a print off of the instruction manual. Thanks for looking.
