Here's a PowerMatic planer in excellent condition. It runs on a 71/2 HP. 3 phase motor and cuts up to 18" wide. It has a heavy duty three blade cutting head. You'll see in the photos that some light rust/dirt has accumulated from sitting in storage but the blades are brand new and cut smooth and level. I hooked it up and ran several boards through it so I know it works. The head is belt driven and the rollers are geared. All three can be instantly disengaged and/or engaged with a hand operated clutch. Powermatic 16 inch Planer 7.5 HP No reserve
This planer is built the way they used to be built. It works great and does not move around the floor when planning heavy wood. It has a Balder 7.5 HP 3 phase motor and also has a phase converter so it can be used on 3 phase power or normal 220 volt single phase. The motor alone is worth almost as much as I am asking for the planer. This is a no reserve auction so if anyone bids the planer will be sold. It is in excellent shape but is sold as is. Up for auction is a solid Rockwell 18" Heavy Duty Thickness Planer(Model 22-201) It has a capacity of 18" wide x 6" thick and has a powerful 7.5 HP/ 3 PH Motor on the cutter head and a 0.5 HP/ 3 PH Motor on the Infeed Rollers. I purchased this tool hoping to just clean the surface rust on the table tops and found that the cast iron worm gear on the infeed drives is worn and needs replacing. This will be a great tool for anyone who has the time to rebuild it. Unfortunately I am not that person. 25 years ago I owned this exact model(with a much smaller motor) and it is one of the best planers I have ever used.
