Up for auction is one Garcia Mitchell Fishing Reel& Rod Vintage May 1964 Add Catalogue. This is a fold out from a well known magazine. Sort of like a center fold. This is Pre Abu Garcia. Counting both printed sides it is a 16 page glossy heavy weight paper similar to magazine covers. Overall it is in very good condition and suitable for framing as it contains some really nice prints from The Garcia Collection. I have done some cut and paste for the pictures but the catalogue/add remains as it was printed. This comes from my personal collection I discovered stored in my parents attic. The serial number is very hard to read but looks like 118034. While the reel is older. It appears to be in good working order. I inherited this reel and have not used it personally, mainly because I am getting too old for hiking to the streams and lake edges where the reel shines. I did have a similar reel years ago and loved using it, especially for Crappie and other pan fish. With this reel and an ultra light rod, pan fish give you a lot of action. These reels were manufactured by Mitchell company sometime between the early 60's and mid 80's. The housing has no cracks or pitting. There is light scratching and wear marks. The reel hold 300 yards of 4 lb. line, 200 yards of 6 lb. test ... moreline, and 150 yards of 8 lb. line.
