Poplar Mantle Antique Reclaimed Barn Lumber(Reduced! Poplar Wood- Hand Hewn Beam 53-1/4" Long x 2-5/8" Thick x 4-7/8" Wide Has Square Peg Holes On One Side Will Turn Rich Gold Color When Oiled. Waxed or Varnished Would Make Nice Mantle Piece This is a very unique piece that you do not find very often with the rectangular peg holes. This piece also shows some hand-hewning marks. I can tell that this piece was made all by hand is very straight. The photos show all sides and ends. On this end. Right above, you can see some saw marks. These can easily be filled with wood putty and sanded over. Before giving a finish, I would give it a light sanding, and you can antique the ends by using a metal grinder or file. Antique fur Barn Beam 8x8 x 24 foot long good shape over 100 years old wood
we just took a dairy barn down this winter and it had 3 of these 24 foot long 8x8 beams in it we think its fur. this auction is for 1 beam and it was raining when i took the pictures so they might have a little more luster than usual. the beams are for sale locally also so i will reserve the right to end it any time. i am firm at $200 each for the 2 nice ones except 1 of them has some rot on the 1 end about 10 feet in so i will let that 1 go for $150. if you want all 3 of them i will package deal them at $500. the hewn out area is just on 1 side of it. we are located in southern mn between albert lea and owatonna for pickup or inspection and we have the equipment to load them. call 507 291 0729 for details. we have most of the nails pulled out of them and there is a little white wash residue left on them yet. thanks.

On the inside of the doors are reproductions of the signatures on the Declaration of Independence. In the middle there is a chip of wood taken from the original beam at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. PA. Up for bidding are 2 Jim Beam Whiskey Decanters from 1980. The art on these 2 bottles are by Jame Lockhart. One of America's best know wildlife artists. Lockhart's work is noted for its detail and accuracy made possible by his careful study of the animals he portrays. One bottle features the Wood Duck in vivid color. One of America's most beautiful ducks. The Wood Duck breeds in almost every one of the lower 48 states. It prefers to e near water where there are hollow trees in which to nest. This bottle is charcoal grey in color and some of the paint is nicked. The Wood Duck on the front is mint, the back description shows a bit of water damage and the edge of the paper is pulled up, looks like it could be reglued. I leave that to the buyer. Reliable Beam Egg Scale in excellent condition. I wiped the dust off but did not polish or do anything else to it. The scale is made of brass and rests on cast iron which is attacahed to a piece of wood. The wood base is 13 inches long by 2 and 5/8 inches. The label talkes about the grade of an egg. Basket or holder and the balance weight, the numbers indicate the weight of a dozen eggs of size being graded, mark between 22 oz. and 23 is half ounce and 23 and 24 is the half ounce. This is a really nice utensil item for a farm, store, or kitchen. Shipping and handling of $10.00.

For sale I have a nice collection of 4 vintage and newer decanters. They all have marks on the bottom of the bottles. The eagle has not had a cork while in my possession. The bottom of the eagle neck has several chips but the head is all intact. His paint unfortunately was washed off by me years ago when I first purchased it. He is ceramic. He has a mark on the bottom. Either says 7=7 1/2 or 1=1 1/2. The white bottle is in very good condition. It is a vintage Jim Beam bottle. The original cork is intact. There is a small chip just below the cork in the glass. The bottom is marked D-334, 119-57, 7. The blue slag bottle is marked AMERICANA. WASHINGTON DEL. by J FLETCHER, J W DANT, 1967. The cork is stuck in the head of the bottle. The glass is perfect, no chips. Has an eagle design on the front. Reeve's ME Beam Steam Engine Wood Patterns For Making Your Own Castings
Offered are wood patterns to make castings for the Reeves ME Beam Engine. These patterns were made by a real craftsman. And are in excellent condition! The patterns are 2 piece split patterns where needed. And include the patterns to make the sand cores for the cylinder and column(so they will be hollow)the pieces to the left in the first picture) There are a few smaller castings for which there are no patterns. I do not know if the pattern maker was going to fabricate these parts. Or they were lost before I bought them. These missing patterns are indicated by the red Xs in the above pictures. All these can be fabricated with little trouble, or purchased from Reeve's. Also a pattern for the 30 tooth spur gear is not present, but this was a solid piece that could be made from round stock. The beam bearing pattern is the bottom half only, ... morebut the cap casting was just a bar, easy to make from stock. The crankrod pattern has two seperate pieces(see pictures) The top and middle. I guess the pattern maker planed to attach these after casting and fabricate the bottom. The bottom would not be hard to make, or the rod is not expensive from Reeve's. You could even attach them and make a bottom piece for a complete pattern, The two pieces present are the hardest parts to make for the pattern. I bought these to make my own castings. But my foundry never came to be, so I am selling them to someone who can use them. Buy these make your own castings. And perhaps make some extras to sell! The castings from Reeve's are about $400 plus shipping! The shipping charge includes insurance.

This is a Starrett Beam Trammel in EXCELLENT CONDITION. Hardly"used" I had to categorize this as used since the previous owner's initials were inscribed discretely as pictured. Model C-251 Includes eight(8) scribes Beam is 14-1/2" in length Cased in the old school Starrett wooden box in great condition. Looks to be not even used. Functions perfectly Ideal for drafstman. Engineers, metal workers, machinists, for precision scribing and measuring A rigid. Well-designed trammel for layout, scribing, and measuring distances and circles. The top of the beam is flattened so that when the trams are clamped in position, they will not turn from pressure on the points. The trams are held in place by spring friction, which prevents them from sliding when the nut is loosened for setting. No visible markings or brand that I can see. Nice overall clean preserved condition.
