The quilter used two different techniques-some of the squares are made with amazingly thin logs in just two prints. Other squares use slightly larger logs in a variety of fabrics. The combination is quite stunning. The back is a classic patchwork. I love that the binding is Purple, applied on both sides. 74" x 66" This quilt has rarely been used. It's in Excellent condition. This railroad spike is a wonderful piece of art. It has a pewter locomotive and tracks attached. Hauling two cars, one flat car loaded with logs and one car loaded with, I think what is supposed to be coal, but believe that it is actually Pyrite. There is also Pyrite on the lower part of the spike. It measures 6 3/4 inches long, 1 1/4 inches tall and is 1 1/2 inches wide at the head of the spike. It weighs 15 ounces. VERY FINE NATIVE INDIAN HOPI KACHINA DOLL WHIRLING LOGS - B. T. LONG
This piece came out of a Pawn Shop in Windslow. AZ. Beautiful Hopi Kachina, carved by known artist B.T. Long, and signed on the bottom in both his mark and date of"05" along with his name spelled out(shown) Measures 11 1/2" high x about 2" across as its broadest. This piece is wonderfully done in a modern stylized manner, incorporating a cut out of a Mesa dwelling on the reverse, along with a half sun face on one half of the front of his robe. The whole piece is accented along the left front, and continuing to back of his robe, in red and white painted intertwined Whirling Logs. The piece is made of cottonwood and fully carved from one piece, accented with areas of paint and design. His face is wonderful, is wearing a carved, raised turquoise neck piece and has a great feathered headpiece. This piece has no damage(except ... morefor a very tiny knick on the very base of his robe in the turquoise area- about 1/8" in size) and the artist has made use of some of the minor imperfections in the wood, incorporating them into his design. Original old photograph DATE: circa 1900-1915 DIMENSIONS: approx 4 inches by 3 inches MOUNTED/UNMOUNTED: Mounted on old page This photograph is one from a collection of Chinese photographs taken/ collected by an English gentleman during his time in China in 1900-1915. The gentleman was called Mr William Doran and he worked for a British company running trams in Shanghai. He was based at the Electric Tramways Depot in Shanghai. China. The first British system trams were operational from 1908. Several of the photographs show him and his colleagues with the trams and at stations and one photograph shows a tram after a crash. Most of the photographs, however, show traditional Chinese people and scenes including marriage processions, villages and towns, a funeral procession, traditional Chinese buildings, busy street scenes, temples, waterways ... moreand house boats, a prisoner chain gang, and many other fascinating insights into Chinese life at the turn of the last century. Some of the photographs are very large and some are small. There is a variety of sizes. The photographs are very detailed, most are silver gelatin prints, all are original vintage/ old prints and are in good condition. On the back of some of the photographs there is a developer's stamp from a photographer called Lai Chong who operated from 1855 North Szechuan Road. Shanghai. Some of the photographs. It has really nice design with whirling logs. Animals and other design elements. The beads on this belt are nice and old. They look good. Condition on the piece is fair. This belt is on cow hide and has a nice vintage clasp and buckle. They look to be made of bronze. They have wear and tarnish. Overall this is still a really nice vintage beaded belt. For your Consideration this very Rare pair of Burmann Makers Marked Swastika/Rolling Logs(Good Luck Cowboy) Spurs. they are engraved with a four leaf clover and rolling logs. I was unable to get a clear picture of the star makers mark but I gaurantee that it is there! I can't really say that the spur straps are original but they are clearly vintage Native American with similar rolling log markings. Heel band measures 3 1/4" x 1" wide. Found in a dry Southern California estate. This is in very nice condition with the exception of about a 1/2" chip out of rim on lid( see pic 8) It is made out of some kind of a hard wood with a carving. Inlaid design on the lid. Military MEP-002A 7KW/5KW Generator Genset w/service logs, extrs 1 & 3 phase
This is a JR Hollinsworth MEP-002A 5KW/7KW Military Generator. Previous owners are the US Army and US Marine Corps. These generators are built like tanks. Designed to run 24/7, have lots of spare parts/online resources/and documentation. Uses standard Fram oil, fuel, air filters that can be found at auto parts store. The military paid over $8200 for this unit. Civilian generators can't come close to how the MEP gensets run. This is not a toy from Home Depot, it is a 1000lbs piece of military equipment spec'd to DoD and NATO requirements. This unit was placed in storage and had testing completed before being put in storage. Received new lift points. New fuel filter, new fuel strainer, oil change, oil filter, and had been load tested. Unit passed all checks: mechanical, visual, and electrical by military personnel before being put in ... morestorage. Also received CARC military paint job. This paint is bio/chem, stratch, light impact resistant and acts as a preservative making the unit easily be decontaminated if necessary. Only thing this unit needs is two batteries(24v system so it needs 2 12v batteries) and possibly clean the fuel tank out(wouldn't hurt) If no one purchases the unit as is, then I will probably fix these issues, but the price will go up as well. I can also perform the service work for a fee. Other then that, this unit should run solid for a long time. Currently has 1240 hours of use.
