Antique, exterior french double doors salvaged from an old home in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Each door is made of solid douglas fir, has applied molding on the exterior and a raised panel on the interior, and has 8 beveled and tempered glass lites. Notice the bottom 4 glass lites from each door are wavy. Such a remarkable feature! Hardware: The original hardware holes were plugged at some point and new hardware holes were made just a little lower. The doors are currently not equipped with any hardware. However. On the interior side of the door. There is a break in the lock stile next to a glass lite; and the bottoms of the lock and hinge stiles, edge of the lock stile and all the hinge mortises are chipped. Each bench consists of 5 pieces of wood, supporting wood and L brackets- they were reinforced at some point with the L brackets and the supporting wood pieces. They are old but not Antique, from between the 1940's- 1950's. They were salvaged from Northeastern, NJ. They both have unique aged characteristics. Like the worn edges of the seat from numerous people sitting and rubbing their legs ... moreback and forth The original finish is still in tact. Has many character marks. Still usable but not for numerous people all at once, or use them for decorative purposes. I've seen people use these on their porch, take them as dining chairs for indoors and outdoors. Anywhere you use these would make the area stand out with a beautiful rustic primitive country look! Bench#1 condition: is slightly wobbly. If you're sitting you could rock very slightly back and forth, but its an easy fix. One of the feet is just a little bit higher than the other. You could sand it down or cut it a bit. Once in a Lifetime 7500 BF Douglas Fir wood Slab Log 5-6 ft width x 30 feet long
We are offering this unique huge douglas fir log/slab for sale. This log contains approximately 7500 board feet of wood. The log has been a single family's possession since 1922. 85% to 90% of the log has been submerged indefinitely. According to growth rings it is approximately 180 years old. It measures 30' 6" in length.and over 6' across at widest end and 5'+ at tapered end. The photos show the log with it's submerged or bottom side up. The top is flatter and has a grove on top between 6 to12 inches in the center. This opening immediately narrows to a couple inches then continues down approximately 20 to 24 inches. Even this live edge groove in the center 20 feet of a portion of the log creates unique design possibilities. There is bark on either side of the grove. There is over 4 feet of the log including at least ... more24 inches of the slab's total width that has been totally submerged and hence preserved. The ring count measures as low as 4 rings per inch but our wood people feel any concerns are negated by the century plus of curing. A rare opportunity to produce multiple 4" thick slabs over 30' in length and 50 to 60" wide without any typical fir wood property concerns of curling or splitting. This log offers possibilities including once in a lifetime epic conference table opportunities. A single commission achieves profitability leaving countless continual options. Antique American Floral/Jeweled Window in Thermopane and Douglas Fir door
fid13079 Antique American Floral Stained and Jeweled Glass Window inserted in a Thermopane Unit mounted in a Douglas Fir door. At a customers request. The Window with its Yellow Rose's, patch work quilt and Jeweled background was removed from it's original frame, flattened and re-cemented. The panel was then inserted in a Thermopane Unit with tempered safety glass on either side. A Douglas Fir Door, 1 3/4" x 32 1/4' x 80' 1/4" was fabricated to house the Unit. Unfortunately due to a financial reversal the customer could not used the door. The door is in excellent condition and ready for fitting to your opening. It can be hinged either right or left as the mill work for hinges and locks has not been done. The panel as mentioned was flattened and re-cemented before being installed in the Thermopane Unit.
