Description This vintage mini hen on nest/ basket dish was produced by Westmoreland in their Milk Glass color. The glass is a beautiful white which shows fiery opalescence if viewed under bright light. The hen's features were hand-decorated with a fired-on red color. It is unmarked. And its original Westmoreland sticker is missing. This is the smaller. Salt cellar size dish. When assembled, the piece measures 3" high at the head and tip of the tail. The basketweave nest base measures 3.5" long and 2.5" wide at the top rim. It weighs 8 ounces. I noticed one small rough spot on the rim edge of the lid. And a small area of missing paint on top ... moreof the head. There is also a visible bubble from the production process in the rim of the base, and a slightly discolored cooling"straw" mark inside the base. Otherwise, it is in good condition- no chips, cracks, heavy scratches, or repairs. The rest of the painted decoration is still shiny and colorful. Here are two nice resin/plastic Coca Cola Santa ornaments. The bottle cap is from 1991 and shows minor wear. I realized after taking the pictures that the rim of the cap is a little pushed in at the bottom and bent. It's hard plastic and I'm not the original owner. So I'm not really sure how that happened wihtout it breaking-it's solid! The other ornament is so cute. A little Santa drinking a bottle of Coca Cola and holding a sign-he's only about 1 1/2" tall. This beautiful antique Dresden centerpiece bowl has all the the types of decorations used on fine old Dresden pieces. There are richly colored hand painted floral boquets centered on both sides and both ends of the bowl. There are encrusted floral boquets filling the spaces between the handpainted boquets. The shape is rococo with graceful curves and scroll feet and handles. The bowl edge is reticulated. The interior of the bowl has handpainted flowers and gold trim. The exterior porcelain surface is covered with hand applied gold decoration in a basket and rococo style. This wonderful bowl dates from the early 1930's. The bottom is marked with the early blue Dresden mark and number 739. The encrusted applied flowers on these early pieces is almost paper thin compared to the heavier later applied decorations used after WWII. At first I thought this antique plate was made in Europe but because of the lustre along the outer section. I am more inclined to think this was made in Asia and exported to the European market. The inner portion has very colorful and bright hand painted flowers surrounded by a gold design. There are what appear to be dogwood flowers on the handles and four other places on the edge of this plate. Outside coloring is pale orange and blue with floral decoration and gold leaf swirls. The plate measures 11 1/4" x 1 1/2" and is in great vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Vintage Japanese Scalloped Edge Gold Trim Bowl
You are bidding on a small painted bowl with the word“JAPAN” printed on the back. The design is fruit with a green apple. A red apple, an what looks like strawberries to me. The bowl measures 7inches across and is 2 inches high It is in very good condition. No Chips. No Cracks. There is a small brown spot on the outside of the bowl. Look carefully at picture number 6 and you will see it. It could probably be gotten off but I don’t know what to try. Vintage Bone China Tea Cup + Saucer Stamped 6/411 Black W/Roses Gold Trim
Estate vintage bone china matching tea cup and saucer. Unknown designer but marked"6/411" on the base of each piece. Beautiful set: gold trim and rims, a tiny dot on the saucer near center which is not a chip, tea cup is in very good shape with no chips, cracks, crazing, clean interior. Edges of saucer are variegated; background is black with gold trimmed leaves, vivid dark pink roses with greenery, raised lip on saucer. Tea cup has wide gold trim at base and completely on handle, same pattern as saucer at top of mouth, gold trim on both inside and out of mouth. Lightly fluted at base of cup. Saucer is 5 1/2" in diameter, mouth of cup is 3 1/2" in diameter. Please see all photos for more details and close ups. If you have any questions. Please ask before purchasing. Signed PICKARD CHINA PLATE Hand Painted Purple Blackberries Fruit Flowers with Gold Leaf Trim Up for bid is a hand painted Pickard China plate. It features an artistic arrangement of fruit(they look like raspberries to me) and flowers. Surrounded by a rich painted gold border with a leaf motif. The painter/ designer's signature O Goess appears within the design. I believe this identifies the artist Offo W. Goess. The underside has a circular back stamp mark that reads: W A PICKARD HAND PAINTED CHINA. The mark looks brown/tan in color. Given the dimensions of the mark(approx 6/16" in diameter) I think the piece dates to circa 1905- 1910. Plate measures approx 6 1/8" across. Condition: It is without chips. Cracks, nicks or dings. Some scattered light wear on gold surface(superficial ... morescuffs/rubs) nothing severe or distracting. No utensil marks in center. One tiny particle speck within porcelain and from when piece was made. A charming if petite decorative plate. Could be a very nice find for those collecting hand painted Pickard china! Vintage Royal China WS George Fluted/Bolero Tidbit Bowl 22K Gold Trim
Consignment piece from an estate sale! I love this pretty little thing. It's age and style are so classic. I believe this to be a tidbit tray or bonbon dish. The wonderful fluted shell style is painted with 22K gold. The beautiful roses and rosebuds are faded just right for an antique china piece. I have searched and search and cannot find another dish shaped like this. I find not damage to the china. But one of the decals seem to be rubbed a bit. Didn't notice it until I took the pictures. This dish is 9" long and 6" wide at the widest point. It is very shallow. Perfect for candies and such.
