You simply frame your opening and use a chisel to make room for the hinges as they will flush-mount to your wood(or weld on if you frame with steel) The stair hinges are also ordinary strap hinges but they have been custom bent to accomodate this purpose. This machine is as tight as a frogs butt. zero where. Im the only one who has ever run this machine.The serial number says it was mfg in 1988. This is one of the very last stringer machines ever made by pickles before they closed the factory in england. 8 yrs ago I had the original motor rewired for 3phase 208 electric. You do not need a trasformer to step down voltage. Ihave all extra parts and brushes and stabilizer steel arm with mathine that I do not use.You will never find a machine this tight or clean. The mortise and tenon newel posts and railings all appear to be hand-made and the balusters appear to be hand-turned. The bases of the newel posts need some restoration but the tops all appear to be in good condition with great wear-marks and every one of these pieces shows great character. This fabric was: handspun home weaved on a manual horizontal loom We have only with caramel stripes. Total length of the bolt is more than 28 meters or 30 yards.
