this is a vintage hose nozzle solid brass and includes the hose end threaded into the nozzle. You can still see where the hose is inside the threaded end and was cut off the end cap. This is a nice size and is either a 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 not sure if they measure from the inside or the outside. The $100 is not included and is only in the pictures as a reference point. Vintage American LaFrance marked 2-1/2 inch fire hose with heavy brass ends.
This is a used vintage 2-1/2 inch fire hose marked American LaFrance and dated 2-65. It has heavy brass ends which you never see anymore. It came from a fire dept. auction of surplus back in 1994. It's amazing what you can find in the warehouse when you have to move after being in the same place for 25 years! I roughly measured it at approximately 50 feet long. Perfect for your old Firetruck or other emergency vehicle. It doubt it's still useable and I have not checked it and have no way to test it. Probably best for just display on your restored older fire truck. It's is old and not new so it may have some wear and tear and some minor faults. But it looks nice. Up for auction is a chrome Akron playpipe with a Turbojet nozzle. The playpipe inlet is 2.5" NH NS NST(national standard fire hose thread) and the discharge plus turbojet fog nozzle is 1.5" NH NS NST. The Turbojet adjusts from 120 to 250 GPM then flush. The closed valve did not leak when I blew air into it. The valve handle will stay up and is not loose like some of the other playpipes that are on eBay. I have sold about a half dozen of these and all the handles including this one have had cracks in them but they still hold the nozzle firmly. This is the last one I have. The teeth still spin and it is only missing one tooth. This one has scratches from normal use. Up for auction is a hard to find vintage 7 1/2" long chrome plated brass fire hose nozzle marked"American Rubber Mfg. Co. Found at an estate sale of a former University of California firefighter. The nozzle is in excellent condition with only minimum signs of use. The chrome shows no wear and there are only a few small scratches and 2 VERY small ding dents 1/4" or less(hard to see on last photo) The outside measurement of the hose end is 2" while outside measure of spout is 3/4" The lucky winner pays S&H of $13.95 for well packaged USPS parcel post mail with delivery confirmation anywhere in the USA. Vintage circa 1960 Akron Brass Auto Stream Fire hose nozzle This vintage fire hose nozzle is over 50 years old and in very good condition. The button and pins work smoothly. I don't have a fire hose to connect this to. But ran it under water, and the water flows freely in the settings it should, slower in other settings, and shuts off as well. There is some green paint towards the base of the nozzle, and some glue residue on the front side. This is a great piece to add to your collection.
