Condition is very good, the exterior red paint has faded, but there are remnants of the original red paint on the inside, see pictures for details. There is no key but the lock mechanism is still intact and in the open position to access the inside, see pictures. There are no chips or cracks, a couple dings on the left front edge of the roof. Vintage Simplex Chevron handle fire alarm pull station. The previous owners of our"vintage" house had converted it into multiple business offices. In doing that they needed to add everything a business needed- including an"official" fire alarm system. At one point we had quite a few of these fire pulls. But I believe this is the only one that hid from us when heading to metal recycling. I know nothing about Simplex. Fire alarms(other than what they are supposed to do) or pull stations(ditto with other statement) I believe all of this type of equipment worked when we purchased our house, but it definitely no longer works after being removed from the wall and an electric source. Gamewell Vintage Pull Station 1924 Patent Date Dimensions. 10" x 8" x 7" This pull station was removed from an old concrete building. The old fire alarm system was tested before it was removed and it still actually worked. This was the common gamewell fire alarm pull station of the time. There is not a key included in this auction. The mercury switch is still fully functioning and the reset can be done by releasing the switch from the back. Kind of a cool old antique. Ohio Fire Alarm Call Box Nice Size Cast Iron Fire Pull Station. This is a real nice looking, nice sized Cast Iron Fire Box Pull Station that could be left as is or taken further in a restoration project. It has paint lost, some repaint and shows a vintage Patena, but also is in good enough shape to leave as is and display as is. It is a nicely designed shape. It has it's original electrical and mechanical gear still on the inside. It could be displayed lying flat or it has four factory holes, one on each side where it could be mounted on whatever you choose. No cracks in the heavy Cast Metal. It measures approximately 9 3/4" tall, 7 7/8" wide and 3 7/8" inches deep. ... moreIt has embossed"Incase of Fire Break Glass" at the top. It has a little Brass tag below that with"2-2-2-1" on it. It shows below the tag The Autocall Co. Shelby, Ohio. Just above the glass window it has a brass tag with the Underwriters Labratories, inc Inspected Fire Alarm Box Private Sation no. 63142. Made in USA. The glass is intact and the little hammer is still attached to break the window. There is a lock on it that takes whatever special key to turn it. The pin inside the lock is triangular shaped. It is in an open position right now, but with two small screw drives you can turn that pin just enough to allow the screw inside to catch and lock the door. I would imagine a key is still available out there somewhere if one was to look. This is a nice piece of vintage Fire Equipment that looks good, is the right size and a great addition to anyone's collection. It is a bit heavy because it was built solid and made to last! It could be left as it is or restored to your liking. There are no cracks in the cast metal. The Paint shows loss, brush marks and it is has dull vintage Patena. It has it's original electrical and mechanical gear still on the inside. It could be displayed lying flat or it has three factory holes on the back side where it could be mounted on whatever you choose. It measures approximately 12 3/4" tall, 7 1/4" wide and 6 1/4" inches deep.
