Please scroll down under this description for additional views. Circa 1940 SUPERLECTRIC model 99 space heater made by Superior Electric Products Corporation of Cape Girardeau. Missouri. It stands 16" high, the ten sided face of the heater is 13" across. This heater works incredibly well and incredibly fast. The ceramic core is wrapped in wire and is mounted in the center of the concave face behind a cage of wires. It can be directed up or down and the heater still has its original woven cloth cord in good condition. The base and back side are painted a pale avocado green- very neutral. There is pant wear and some corrosion spots showing through on the base. No on off switch- this is as basic as they come- if you need to be warm just plug it in. There is a hole in the base so that it can be hung on the wall. Up for auction I have this unusual antique electric heater. The reason I say unusual is because of the mounting base having mounting holes with rubber inserts and a notched out area as seen in photos. Was this made with the option of hanging on the wall? This looks to be very old medical or industrial to me. This has a base constructed of a cast metal possibly aluminum alloy and the rest of the heater is a silver tint metal but I have no idea on metal type so please see the photos. I know this heater is not like the average electric heaters out there and I cannot find it anywhere. This is the reason I aquired it in the first place. Hopefully this is a hard to find unit and somebody out there can use it in their collection. This unit is approx. 12" tall. 8" 1/4" across reflector, 5" 1/2" across at base.
