This is the plastic cover for the outside compressor casing on a Trane XL14i. It is the same cover used on all trane models with a cover. It comes off and goes on with 4 screws and is not conected to the motor or any internal components. If yours is damaged worse then this one, a new one will cost around $400. The box to ship this is large so the shipping is a little high. The only thing wrong with this cover is the one louver pictured.

It was removed from a unit that was removed because the pool unit was being upgraded. It was running up until the day it was removed. I removed the compressor and silver soldered the lines shut. I then pulled a vacuum on the comprssor and then added a small nitrogen charge to it to prevent any moisture from getting in. The refrigeration system was on a regular maintanence program which shows that it was not"beat to death" The box will come with the crank case heaters that are already mounted on the bottom. Because of the nature of compressors and the many of things in a system that can"kill" a compressors there is not warranty on this unit.
