Grinding Wheel Cover from a Tool Post Grinder, 1-3/4" Clamp x 5"
A local company has recently consolidated its machine shop capabilities. As a result there will be an assortment of tools and accessories coming available for sale. These items will be from the machine shop and/or the maintenance shop. Sale is final so please feel free to ask any questions that you might have. Offered here is a Grinding Wheel Cover that came from one of the tool post grinders. All of the grinders I saw in the shop were DuMore. So I am assuming that this was from one of those. The bore diameter for clamping to the spindle measures 1.745" so this should work on a standard 1-3/4" cartridge. The opening for the wheel measures just over 5" The number 566 is cast into the cover and it looks to be in good condition.

SOTTOF SALES Two Identical fixtures. One in pretty nice shape, one with some rust. The nicer one has both centers and a tooth rest as well as the red mounting clamp. The other is missing a center and the tooth rest that slides in a dovetail on either end of fixture. Both ends of fixture have adjustment for taper and when fully extended they have about a 8" or 8 1/2" capacity, the maximum swing is 3 3/4" well made older grinding fixtures, no apparent names I can find. HIGH SPEED GRINDING SPINDLE TOOL POST GRINDER
This comes fro a lot of tooling items purchased from a tool and die shop liquidation sale. The motor is German. The name Neckar-Motoren Deisslingen. I cannot read the other info on the label. Spindle is approx. 5/8" DIA and has a very small collet. Appears to have very high class bearings. Motor is 3 1/4" DIA. 4 1/2" long. Pulleys are 4 1/4" and 1" It is a very well made device. That is all I know about it. Unit weighs about 12 pounds. Thanks for your interest.

Vintage Covel Drill bit Tool Grinder yankee press sharpen grinding grind antique
This is a Covel yankee drill bit grinder. It needs to be gone through and rebuilt i'm sure. The wheels do spin but it is a little tight and I have never had power to the motor, some parts may be missing I'm just not sure. My project list is getting larger and longer and this one is at the bottom so I am passing it on, I would think you could use it as a regular bench grinder, a heavy duty one. One person can barely lift it, two people can no problem. I believe it was used during the construction of the Eads bridge in St Louis but I have no proof of that, pickup in Farmington, MO.

Nice French mag chuck by Braillon. 6"x12" Actual item pictured. Has oil coating on it that seems to clean off with wd-40. I am leaving it on to protect surfaces. Near new Dumore Tool Post grinder for 9" to 20" swing lathes. 1/2 HP AC induction motor. Which operates at near constant speed independent of load. This motor system is good for external grinding applications with larger grind wheel sizes. I also have a 1 HP 57-041 AC system posted for very heavy external grinding applications. All parts are there. Including new grind wheels, and original metal storage box. 16" x 13" x 13" High quality copy of owners manual. Printed on heavy weight paper and spiral bound.
