DUMORE model 20G lathe tool post grinder internal external w/ tools working
Model 20G DUMORE external internal tool post grinder with accessory tooling(see photos) sold as-is no return. Runs smoothly. Both grinders turn at same time. The top shaft pointing to left mesures approx 3 1/2 inch length. I believe this model is early 1950's but well cared for. I am not sure what the accessory tooling does so study photos. Tool gringer has a detachable metal base(see photo) with locking wing tabs. Measures 5 5/8X7 inches with number 489 in raised numerals. Top of base where tool post grinder motor mounts measures 3 5/16 wide. Base has predrilled hole so unit can be fastened to a lathe. No damage and no repairs.comes with extra grinding wheels, factory wrenches, spare belt and accessory box with collet and wheels. BUT, best of all.the very hard to find Dumore Ball Bearing Oil can is included. This can has some wear, but has no dents. The original paper surrounding the can is intact, but has some spots and faded in some areas. Both original caps are included. This is a 1/14 HP model and I'm sure it's best adapted to your 10" and smaller lathes. The only flaw is the exterior cracking of the electrical cord at the motor entry. Up for auction is a nice old Dumore#44 tool post grinder in the original box with many accessories. There are several size collets and the chuck to hold them. And some grinding wheels and grinding stones. Wrench, and a rare grinding shaft guard. The grinder has been tested and works well. It can be powered with any electrical cord which gets plugged into the motor(shown on one photo) The box is in very good condition and the latches and hinges are all present and work well. This is a classic vintage DUMORE TOM THUMB#14 integral spindle tool post grinder. It is Model#8069-240 and has a 1/4 HP motor. Dumore makes very high quality tools and these grinders have been around forever and are still made today. Used on lathes and other equipment for internal and external grinding. It has a"T" bolt set up for mounting on a machine and comes with the original carrying case. The grinder also bolts into the case for safe transport and storage. This grinder is in great condition. Shows little use and has been well cared for. Runs great and is very smooth. Can shift belt on the pulleys for different speeds. Has an original Dumore belt. Case is also in great shape. Great working condition. Cosmetically. It shows some scratches and wear, but inside it's working flawlessly. It has a brand new cord installed. It's been thoroughly cleaned inside and out, and the bearings have all been cleaned and oiled. I didn't replace the brushes. But they show very very little wear.
