Harig Uni-Dex Grind Grinding Fixture uses 5C collets that are easily available. No personal markings. The handle fixture has been repaired, the taper piece were the collet goes in has a grind mark on it(will still accept collet no problem) and the stop screw on the index is missing(please see pictures) The index pin when put in position indexes every 15 degrees as it should. Has nut to tighten collets. I tried to price this right, feel free to make me a offer. I have no way or the knowledge to test this, I'm giving a 14 day return on it to protect everyone's best interests. This is a high precision indexing and spin fixture made in the USA by Simco. It takes 5C collets. It has a 48 position index plate or can be used as a spinner. This is a ball bearing unit and it has a precision ground base to facilitate lining it up. This unit has had very little use and the paint has only a couple of small scratches. Very good condition. This is a used Weldon spindle quill& bushing for a Weldon ebdmill sharpning fixture. The bushing is 2 1/8" OD x 5 5/8" long with a 5/8" ID. The quill is 5/8" OD x 3/8" ID x 9 1/2" long. There is a reducer bushing included with 3/8" OD x 3/16" ID x 1.155 long. The quill is a nice smooth slip fit in the bushing with NO shake. All is in good useable condtion. Harig Grind-All Fixture Nice older Harig Grinding fixture and Surface grinding wheel dresser. I've used this many years and it's great for grinding concentric/non-concentric diameters. Radii on corners or angles, dressing inside/outside radii on grinding wheels, etc. You might not use it everyday, but when you need it, there is nothing better. Spins nicely and easy to adjust angle block. Fixture is about 3-1/4" x 4" x 5" with 3.000 center height. It has the sliding V-block that has adjusting screw on side of round piece, and locking screw on front of v-block. V opening is about 1-1/8" wide at top of V. It has two locking blocks and sliding pin for setting stops at any angle. Collar on back of fixture has degrees marked for setting, and spring pin on top corner locks at common angles, every 15 degrees. There are ... moretwo custom steel faceplates, one is about 7/16" thick, 4-1/4" diameter and has four mounting holes that match threaded holes in front of fixture. Second one is about 1/2" by 3-1/2" diameter and fits in slide with T-nut locking plate for mounting. Both have various tapped and straight holes that were used for mounting parts/clamps. Dressing arm is about 1-1/4" wide and 6" long. It mounts in V-block and you can adjust V-block and diamond to achieve desired height for radius. Diamond has DIA20000H marked on side and looks new. It's.375 diameter and over 3" long with plastic cap. There are two allen wrenches for locking V-block and adjusting up/down. The wooden case shows marks from putting parts in and out. MAGNETIC TRANSFER V-BLOCK BRONZE WITH STEEL PINS TOOLMAKER GRIND FIXTURE
I am a retired tool and die maker with 35 years experience and made this V-Block for my own personal use. The magnetic transfer V-block is made of bearing bronze with steel pins pressed in it. The block measures 3.922 long x 2.993 wide x 1.983 tall. The V width is approximately 2-5/8" wide x 1-5/16 deep. There 158 steel pins.150 in diameter pressed in the block. The more pins you have the better small pieces of tooling will stick to the V- block. This block is not magnetic by itself and must be used with a magnetic chuck to transfer magnetism. The advantage of steel pins instead of plates is that this V-block will hold a piece of steel tooling in any direction on a magnetic chuck. There is an"oops" on the top on one side as seen in the picture. It measures approximately 3/16" wide x.100 deep. I just left it there to remind ... moreme to be more careful.
