Vintage "Two" "Fly Reels" Martin # 61 and #530 Fly Reel
Up for auction are" Two" Vintage Fly Reels" A Martin#61 Fly Reel and a#530 Fly Reel. Reels both function perfect and turn smooth with strong on and off clicks controlled by the button on the backs. See picture# 4, reel feet are both unaltered, see picture#5, the#530 reel still has the tag on the bottom! Reels are Both in Very Good Condition with only light wear. Martin reel weight is 3.7 ounces, spool width is 1 inch and the reel diameter is 2 3/4 inches. 530 Fly reel weight is 5.6 ounces, spool width is 3/4 inch and the diameter is 3 inches. Both single handles have no chips or cracks. Martin reel has makers marks on the back which read, Precision Made Martin Fishing Reel Made In USA#61, see picture# 7, and the other reel has only" 530 and Japan" on the foot, see picture# 10.

VINTAGE HANDMADE/CARVED WOODEN REEL CASE WITH PR. OF MARTIN FLY REELS #61
FOR SALE- FIVE DAYS ONLY- BEAUTIFUL HAND MADE WOODEN REEL STORAGE CASE WITH A PAIR OF MARTIN 61 FLY REELS WITH LINE. Both reels are in nice condition. With one of them showing a bit of wear and use. Both are loaded with fly line. The wooden storage case is hand tooled with a carving of a trout going after a fly on its top cover and a hand carved wooden peg closer. The case is in excellent condition with solid brass hinges and closure and a great natural finish. It measures 9 1/4" in length, 5 3/4" in width and 4 1/4" high. It is signed J.A. Zwieg 1994 on the inside of the cover. Both reels are encased in hand made buckskin bags with rawhide draw strings. 2 Vintage Precision MARTIN fishing reels by Martin made in USA. Model No 60& 61. They both appear to be in working condition. Snap rings and gear controls are freely moving. Reel#61 has some slight damage to the frame as seen in photo, this does not hinder the working condition. These are Great bass and trout reels. Most vintage items I sell are from my dads collection.
