Up for auction today is a Thermo Scientific Sorvall Legend T+ EASYset Centrifuge. The unit appears to be in great working condition after our testing. This auction includes a Thermo Scientific Rotor as well as 4 inserts for the rotor(shown in pictures) The only thing that may be disfunctional with this unit is the lid- it does not stay raised on its own and you have to hold or prop it open. There are some scratches and scuffs from previous use. But no major cosmetic damages. Overall this unit appears to be in great shape. This listing is for a Clay Adams Dynac II Centrifuge with High Torque Motor. 24 place rotor and 18 number 0902 shields. Prior to listing it was tested and the following was observed: The power switch works The timer counts down as it should and stops the centrifuge when it reaches zero The speed control works as it should- a range of speeds from 500 rpm to 7500 rpm were observed with our handleld tacho. The run/brake switch allows the centrifuge to run and brakes it when set to brake. The safety switch operates correctly and prevents the centrifuge from running unless the lid is closed. The following faults were also observed: The built in tacho does not operate correctly- however. The voltage across the meter terminals was observed to vary with speed, which leads us to suspect that this may just be a faulty meter, though we can't guarantee ... morethat, of course. The Zero speed switch does not operate- this may be related to the meter problem or may be a separate fault. Because some faults were observed. We are selling it as-is, officially"for parts or not working" with no warranty and no returns. The high torque motor alone is worth more than we're asking- don't let it get away!
