Antique facile hand crank 4 tube cream test centrifuge pat'd 1903
Superb Facile antique hand crank 4 tube cream test centrifuge patented 1903. Cast iron body with 4 brass tubes this hand crank centrifuge allowed for both field testing and lab testing of milk& cream. Just clamp it on to any table or bench edge and crank the handle. In excellent working condition. Only issue I see is that the pin hold ing the crank to the gear case looks to be a replacement as it does not fit all the way in. First set of pictures actually show the unit upside down. See the last three pictures for the unit mounted and i n motion. Cast m ark s on body say Facile Pat Apr 21. 1903. Cast mark on crank handle says 100 turns per min. Tube holder has what I assume to be a model or part number of 45 6- Tubes measure just over 5 inches long and 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Clamped to a table the unit measures approx 10 inches in height. ... moreCrank handle is approx. 10 inches long. Uncommon piece of early dairy farm memorabilia. At cost shipping. Fully insured.
