Very nice collectible and rare Jim Beam decanter of Mt. St. Helens eruption which occured at 8:32 a.m. on Sunday. May 18, 1980. 150 sq. miles of timber were blown down and the 1.5 cubic miles of dust from this eruption extended over roughly 1/2 of the Continental United States. Mt. St. Helens was originally 9,677 feet high and after the eruption lost 1,300 feet of its peak. The force was felt over 200 miles away. This decanter contains an actual vial filled with Mt. St. Helens Ash. Very good condition- ships in medium flat rate box with tracking, thanks for looking.

The apothecary vial has an approximate volume between 50 mL and 75 mL. The bottom of the vial and the top of the glass stopper are imprinted with Pyrex. The vial has the letters ADL lightly etched near the top. But otherwise the glassware is free of chips and scratches. All glassware has been dual washed with detergent and acetone. This dates to the early 1900s Art Deco era and has a fine geometric line pattern on both sides and is bordered by a leaf edge. Both front and reverse are decorated the same. There is a rectangular cartouche on both sides. It has never been monogrammed or engraved. The screw cap is clearly marked Sterling on the top and has a long dauber with a tiny spoon shaped end. This vial measures 1 3/4" in length by 3/4" wide. It looks like it was never used but there is a faint perfume smell. It is in excellent condition and I can find no faults.
