This effect simulates a Leslie whirling-rotor speaker. It has two speeds. Slow and fast. It isn't a pedal but rather is designed to be placed on a music stand or table, or in a 1/3-rack space. Everything works; cosmetically it is in VG condition as depicted with light scratching and jack tarnish. The red cap covering the switch most likely is a replacement, I don't know, it's been that way ever since we got the unit many years ago. Pretty much of a single-purpose box but it does its job well.

Treble rotor in good shape with nice bearings and INTACT diffusers. And ROLA V-21 driver from a Leslie Model 720. I believe this will also work with 147, etc. Coil measures 12.4 ohms, which would be about right for a 16 ohm nominal impedance. I personally played through this tone cabinet for several years, and the highs always had PLENTY of bite when I wanted it. ROLA driver is dated 22'nd week of 1977. This unit works, but no returns due to age.

Ridea (Rotor) Elliptical Crankset - 175mm crankarms - 53/39
Purchased the Ridea as a substitute for the Rotor crank. This works very much like the Rotor and includes the eliptical W+ chainrings. These are the middle ones of 3 powercurve options and are suitable for racing and training and are much like the Rotor +3/3. This power curve adds 3 virtual teeth and subtracts 3 teeth from the crank depending on where you are on the curve. Basically a sine wave- Big ring 56 down to 50. Back to 56 down to 50 etc, small ring 42 down to 36, back up to 42, etc. Physically 53/39, virtual 56-50/42-36. Literature states 10% more power, and really can feel it. For the winning bidder. I recently attended an auction which contained a number of items from the estate of Lt. Cmdr Clifford MacGregor. He commanded the privately funded"MacGregor Artic Expediton" from July 1st 1937 to Oct. 3rd. 1938. This expedition sailed in the 3 masted schooner, the"Gen. A.W. Greely" One can read about the entire expedition on Wikipedia. I was fortunate to obtain several items which were part of his estate. This item is a taffrail rotor which is towed from the rear of a sailing vessel to determine the speed. Most audiences tend to hear Hammond and Leslie on a recording or through a PA system. And it is the recorded sound that has become so well-known. It was used for and a half before being removed and boxed. This unit is in perfect condition with very little scratches or signs of wear. Of course there are small signs of wear but relatively little for this sort of item. the SRM unit still has all of the orignial stickers on it with all of the vital information. This listing is for a completely restored Telechron model B-13 1 RPM clock rotor with a standard 1/8" X 1/2" shaft. All worn out parts were replaced/rebuilt. The gear train was ultrasonically cleaned, lubricant was replaced with a special synthetic lubricant and the rotor was sealed up. The rotor was bench tested for torque and accuracy. The B-13 rotor is a high torque/4 vane design and will replace nearly all other 1 RPM B styles rotors that have the 1/8" X 1/2" shaft including B-2's and B-3's. The B-13 is the least expensive 4 watt B style rotor however it's not as quiet as a B-3. Even NOS B-13 rotors need to ... morebe rebuilt. The lubricant used when they were built had a short shelf life and is almost always dried out just from age. More information on B series rotors can be found here: Telechron B rotors have become scarce. They're no longer made or reproduced and original rotors are commonly worn out. Dead and/or noisy. They were commonly used in GE, Telechron, Revere, Herschede and many other industrial applications. Please make sure your clock's movement is in good condition since a good rotor won't compensate for a worn out or dirty clock movement.
