Jouan Fixed Angle 14.500 RPM 28 Place Rotor For sale- a Jouan Fixed Angle 14.500RPM 28 Place Rotor. I don’t see a model number on it anywhere other than a very small 16 stamped into the bottom of it. I pulled this from a Jouan MR1822(might have been an MR 1812. I will clarify that soon) so it should work in that application at least. Whether there are any other models it will fit in I leave for you to research before you buy. This is a fairly small rotor. Roughly 6 inches in diameter. The 28 holes are also fairly small. I guess they would probably be for a standard 1.5ml pipette but I could be mistaken, perhaps they are larger than that. The centrifuge itself wouldn’t spin when I got it and by the time I got around to taking it to the warehouse having left it sitting out with a tarp over it it wouldn’t even come on at that point. It would ... morejust immediately blow the fuse. So I scrapped the rest of it but I did keep the control panel and the associated circuit board. I promise I don’t usually subject the stuff I buy to such torture. But the warehouse was full and I was pretty disgusted with the fact that it wouldn’t spin. I think it sat out all last summer and into the early fall. Oh well. Anyway. If you need a rotor like this I know this is a better deal than buying it from Jouan, which is now part of the Thermo empire. You know they ain’t cuttin’ you no stinkin’ deal. The rotor is untested but really. Short of dropping it what goes wrong with a piece of solid aluminum. No signs of trauma on this one. If you need the spindle screw let me know and I can include that as well. No warranty is offered. However. Once it is closed, it does lock but doesn't seem to seal enough for it to run unless you hold it down. We were able to pick different programs that have been put into this and run them, mostly guessing and pressing numbers until we heard it spin, but again we had to hold down the lid for it to start up. We could feel the air temperature colder inside this when we opened the lid. There is a small hole on the side that releases the top to open up. There are four buckets inside, those are included. This particular rotor was pulled from a Jouan CR411 but I am guessing it fits a CR412 or CR422 as well. The reason I say that is that the only reason I bought the CR411 was to get the buckets that were on this rotor so that I could finally complete a CR422 that I have had for literally ages. So the buckets(not pictured) are NOT included. Just the rotor as you see it. Max RPM 4750. Max Load 6.8Kg. More than several of these available. But the price looks pretty steep if you have to source the buckets elsewhere. So I have trimmed the price down way below what the others are listed at because I would prefer to sell it in my lifetime. The CR411 this was removed from was scrapped because the lid wouldn’t close among other issues. So ... morethe rotor is completely untested and NO warranty is offered. However. Jouan Deep Freezer Up for auction is a used Jouan PowerFreeze Deep Freezer. Model VXS 490. This unit is in good physical condition with only minor scuffs and scratches due to normal wear. All the buttons and labeling are clear and legible. The unit will drop to a temperature of-87ºC. It is includes a manual and the few other tools shown. We plugged the unit in and set it to-80°C and let it run for 24 hours. It very slowly started to cool down but within a few hours it was down around freezing. We checked it around midnight and it was about-40 Celsius and running well and still cooling down. The unit only got down to-61C. Also this was in a 45F room if that affects the performance.
