From a state surplus sale. A Heraeus 28RS refrigerated centrifuge, with Sepatech#3744 rotor. I was told that this was from a department of the game and parks departement, that got shut down(they had quite a bit of other lab equipment there as well) Plugged it in, turned it on, and everything seeme to test ok. It went up to 13k rpm, and came back down. It seems that you can adjust the rate at which it speeds up and slows down, and it did do these things gradually. Refrigeration function works fine. I'm not particularly knowledgable in lab equipment, so this is about all the testing I can do, but I am selling this as a fully functional and useable centrifuge, and if you find it not to be, it can be returned for a refund. Vintage Leybold heraeus Wind Tunnel. German Made 1970's Very Rare!
This ia a very cool working wind tunnel. It is made in Germany by Leybold- Heraeus co. it seems to work well. one of the hold down lattch hooks is missing and the other one is loose. This is a common hardware item that could easily be replaced. There are a few dents and bends on the metal edge of the wide bottom on the tunnel. There is some kind of round piece missing on the tunnel side and looks like whatever it was was held on with rivots. This is a very early form of a modern technology.The base is 20"X 16" X 7" The metal tunnel part is 27" tall and about 12" diameter at the bottom and 7" diameter on the narrow end.
