The unit has a rotor cover which is locked into place using the attached tool. The rotor looks to be in great condition. The exterior housing has some scratches and scuffs especially on the lid. I feel this is a fantastic example of beauchene and a prime example of the excellence of Clay Adams' work. I do not know the sex. Age, or nationality of this skull. It is only my personal subjective opinion. But I feel this skull has a much nicer look than the red, white, and blue ones out there. It has a beautiful patina. At fast glance. It looks like teeth are broken; upon closer inspection(hopefully this shows in the photos) these teeth have been intentionally cut. It does have full dentition. The hinges and clasps are more delicate looking than other examples of beauchene that I have seen as some of the hardware on others I have seen actually has a clunky look appearance. Is designed to handle moderate to heavy workloads in the hospital laboratory or industrial setting. Unit accommodates any one of four interchangeable swing-out horizontal or four 52° angle heads. Specific models hold tubes with capacities up to 100 mL total capacity 400 mL, or as many as 24 15 mL or 36 10 x 75 mm tubes for semi-micro and micro work. A simple method of attaching heads to the shaft provides positive attachment. Preventing unlocked head from spinning. Tube slots in all heads are numbered for identification. Solid-state electronic control provides wide speed range to 3335 RPM maximum depending on head type.
