Clay Adams CT-2900-BRH Micro Hematocrit Centrifuge
I tested this unit and found it to be working as it should and in very good working condition. I checked the brushes and found them to be about 1/2 inch in length. The instructions say that the brushes should be replaced at 3/16 of and inch. The unit has lots of use left in it. The exterior shows some normal signs of use but looks to have not been abused. I cleaned and repainted the under side of the top cover. The timer works. I am not sure of the exact size of the tubes that this unit uses but a#2 wood pencil fits almost perfectly into the grooves where I believe the proper size tube would fit and the cover screws on tightly. Clay Adams NUTATOR- LIKE NEW. WORKS PERFECTLY! I used to use a Nutator like this all the time in my lab. CAUTION: watching one of these rotate your samples around ever so gently can be a hypnotic experience. I've included pictures of it in multiple positions so you can tell that it works! This Clay Adams Nutator looks like it was barely used. Apart from some ID stickers and the name of the lab it used to belong to. It looks practically new. As you fellow lab rats know, you can have a piece of equipment in the lab for years, but some items see very little actual use. I suspect this device would fall into that category. Here's what you need to know: 1) The platform runs(nutates" perfectly. It does not freeze up. Stall, or make any grinding noises. 2) It is CLEAN! There are no nasty stains or corrosion anywhere on the rubber mat(removable) ... moreor on the device itself. When I acquired it at a lab liquidation. I noticed that the rubber mat wasn't even dusty. NOTE: I have not used it further other than to turn it on. 3) It can hold a load of 795 g(1.75 lbs) I have seen people lay a bunch several layers deep on the platform and keep them all in place with some rubber bands. 4) The platform measures 24 cm x 13 cm(9.4" x 5.1" For those of you who don't know what a Nutator is or why you should use one. Here some info: The platform is"balanced" on one point in the middle. And"rolls" in a circular motion. The rolling motion causes the mixing to be very gentle and thorough. As the liquids mix in three dimensions(left, right, forward, backward, up, down) Because the device is small. It can be used inside a refrigerator or incubator. These things are SO expensive new. And still expensive even after they've been heavily used. On a large retail site(named after a long river) a similar one goes for $445 new. Here on eBay, even BROKEN ones go for nearly $100 for parts!

Vtg 50's CLAY ADAMS Skeleton Medical Nursing School Educational Scary Halloween
I am a school teacher and I discovered in the back room of our science lab a"suit case" full of bones. I felt that they were authentic human bone so I took them to two different archaeologists whom I know who confirmed that indeed that most all of them were real and a few were cast. The darker. Heavier ones were cast and the lighter, whiter ones that showed porosity were real human bone. The pictures show the dark and lighter colored bones. The case has the name Clay Adams on it. I looked it up and it's a company that has been specializing in real human skeletons from the late 1800s and that the address in Parsippany. NJ indicated that it was post 1950 The bones are most likely(East) Indian as that is where most bones in American are from. Although I don't know what sex, etc. We are not using them at school and, in fact, ... moreI would use whatever money was earned through the sale of these bones to buy lab supplies and equipment for the school. There was no skull but you can see in the pictures that there is one articulated foot and one articulated hand as well as the articulated vertebrae with partial pelvis and tail bone attached. I counted 23 vertebrae and 21 ribs(I could be off by one or two.I quickly counted them) Both femurs are there and the little bone that goes next to it and the upper arms bones and the little ones of the forearms. There is the sternum. Two scapulas and many falanges of the the foot or hand I can't identify since they are all singles. Please ask questions as there are NO RETURNS ON THIS CLAY ADAMS SKELETON.

This is a collection of 31 glass slides in 2 original Clay Adams Company New York slide boxes. The slides are dated 1953. They are all hand labeled. Most are rat tongues and chick embryos. One box has a full 25 slides. And the other has six slides. I got these at an estate sale, and have no idea why the owner had them. 1 box is missing a small edge on its cover, you can see this clearly in my photos.
