Here is a surgical field kit(dental? in a vintage wooden box. One of the instruments is marked Clay Adams Co. Germany LUXOR. The Clay Adams Company was absorbed in 1935 and it is assumed that the name was no longer used or modified after that time. The beautiful wooden box measures 3" x 7" and is 1-1/2" thick when closed. Clasp and hinges work perfectly. There is wear and usage marks on all of the instruments. I have not attempted to clean the instruments or the box. The box shows a wonderful patina. I am happy to answer any questions but my knowledge about this item is limited. Examine the photos closely. This wooden box seems handmade. It is 10" x 4/5 incn x H 2" See Photos for inside of box there are some stainless steel smal nuggets or something. The box seems it was for testing or carry samples as the box is from the clay adams lab. It does seems old since the company started 1916. Anyway. Please look closely at photos for more info. Found out it is a protable weighing scale box. The scale is missing, the stainless steel pellets are the weights. Everywhere i found it on internet it was sold under antique or collectible.
