The big round piece on top is aluminum, the base is galvanized steel, but the small piece in the center of the top is plastic. It has some slight bending/dings here and there. But it's generally in nice shape to be older and used. I'm using the postage calculator on this. And sometimes it charges too much for postage. Here is the information about the wind turbine as I know it. I have inherited the wind turbine. And rely on the vendor and installer for information. The following is provided by the representative for the business that sold the family the turbine. The wind turbine is manufactured by a Chinese company called SAWT and is the 5KW model. SAWT can be googled and detailed information is available. The system was sold by WEPOWER and they have gone out of business. The inverter is a power one 6 kw wind inverter. The pole is manufactured and engineered in North Dakota and is American made. All permanent magnet wind turbines are manufactured in China because China has a monopoly on the rare earth magnets and will not export unless they are made into a product. In my study of the turbine on site it put out good power when a sustained wind over 20 knots ... morewas present. Unfortunately this site has very gusty intermittent winds which bring the turbine up to speed and tell the inverter to pull out power then the wind will drop and the turbine will stall under load. This cycle seems to occur over and over. During periods of strong sustained winds I observed good power output of 2500-4000 watts out of the inverter. I believe this unit will perform well if installed at a site that has strong sustained winds. This particular unit was disassembled by WEPOWER and rebuilt with higher quality sealed bearings and completely tested for proper function. The wholesale price for this system was 19.000.00 US funds. The installation will require a substantial foundation which I can provide sample foundation design. The electronics are designed to tie into the grid but this unit is capable of being converted into a off grid battery charging system. Monitoring system and extra electronics at no cost to buyer if interested. As is the on-grid and installation manual. Turbine is located in central WA state. The wonderful folks at Ventera have always been very helpful and I am sure they would be an invaluable resource for the lucky buyer of this turbine. The buyer would be responsible for disassembly and shipment of their new(used) turbine. this is a 10kw system and is also has a 2kw hook up for solar power. So it has the potential for a 12kw total system. The Rohn tower is on hinges and it tips over to work on the turbine or just to tip up. The tower is 120' all the latest updates have been done to the blades and bearing(thanks to Mike with Ventera) We have a return authorization to send in the inverter to have all the upgrades and improvements done. I'm selling this set of 3 used wind turbine fiber blades. They are 50cm long. With a hole spacing of 22mm. This are the blades used on iSTA Breeze turbines. They spin extremely fast(I've seen them) Please note. These are very high rpm blades, for low torque generators like iSTA Breeze or Air Breeze, wich are non cogging and start charging at relatively high rpm usually only after 400rpm with peak of power at 900rpm(like many Chinese wind turbines) I bought them for a DC Motor. But that motor starts charging at 200RPM, and at that speed they haven't enough torque for that motor.
