But are not well suited for delivering surges of power to loads. The battery provides a surge capability for this system. This combination of two energy sources enables the system to power loads that would ordinarily exceed the surge capacity of the fuel cells alone. This unit was used by NASA as a technology demonstrator to evaluate possible power sources for future astronaut EVA suits. It is offered"as-is" I am not knowledgeable about fuel cells and do not have any means to test it. I do not know if it works. Or if it ever worked.
