I have used this processor to make high quality biodiesel from used vegetable oil that I've burned in my Ford F250 and my 2 VW diesels. This processor works great! The only reason I am selling it is because I want to build a bigger one and I need to move this one before going larger. This processor yields about 25 gallons of high quality biodiesel per batch and 1 batch will take you about 1-2 days depending how much time you've got. I also added several enhancements to the plans by adding a separate wash tank and a settling tank that are both the cone bottom design which allows you to have up to 3 batches in-process at the same time. I also added a smaller cone bottom tank for mixing the catalyst. Also, I ... moreput the entire unit into a 4' X 5' plastic vat so if there is an oil spill, it will contain it instead of it running all over your garage or shop floor. This vat also makes it very convenient to move the processor in one contained unit with a tractor or forklift. The plans call for 1 pump, but with the extra tanks, this has 2 pumps to move the oil. It also has 2 filters to filter the final product down to 10 microns before you put it in your vehicle. Appleseed Biodiesel Reactor Processor. This system was built by me after receiving training from Chris Powers in Houston at a hand-on weekend workshop. It was used by me and a partner in 2010-2011 using waste vegetable oil as a feedstock. If you're unfamiliar with this process. The byproduct is glycerin. Making biodiesel is easy, but getting the cost down when dealing with acidic feedstock is a greater technical challenge that is, in my opinion, well overcome with this system. Not all these tanks are necessary to make biodiesel, but batching such as I have allows for a continuous throughput, as having extra tanks allows staging incase secondary batching is required for very acidic feedstock, your fancy expensive all in one unit sellers won't volunteer this. This system has NOT been operated since 2011. But is awesome and produces ... morequality biodiesel at low cost. It has a 50 gallon hot water heater as a reactor for 100 liter batches of biodiesel. It also features a 150 gallon per hour waste vegetable centrifuge processor(pabioidiesel) that cleans(WVO filtering or WMO) via centrifuge filtering to below one-half micron while de-watering your oil. It also features a water cooled vacuum driven methanol recovery system to lower the cost of making your fuel by recovering and giving you the chance to recycle a portion of your methanol which would otherwise go into your diesel. This is an awesome system at a fire-sale buy it now price. And will pay for itself in a few batches, as I was able to produce diesel for my F250 at below 1 dollar per gallon, depending on WVO titration results.
