I would like to share with you that I am familiar with how Honda Generators and some other 4 cycle engines are designed to be Properly Started and Properly Run and Maintained Depending on the ambient air temperature. You will typically need to slide the choke lever all the way to the right or midway to start a Honda Generator This generator likes to start with the Choke lever midway or the center position unless it is very cold and then it wants the Choke lever all the way ... moreto the right to produce full choke. Within a few seconds of starting. You simply slide the lever all the way to the left so there is NO CHOKE as seen in Picture#6 Based on what I have read and been told. If an engine will not run smoothly unless the choke is fully or partially engaged, That would indicate that the Idle Jet in the Carburetor is likely clogged or restricted due to the Ethanol found in common"Pump Gas" purchased at your local gas station which tends to"Gum Up" with Varnish over time Or There could be some small debris clogging or restricting the Idle Jet These problems can typically can be fixed by removing and cleaning the Carb which may take some of your Time and Money Even more if you take it into a shop for repairs Good news is that this generator has a"Clean Idle Jet" After owning and repairing a few generators I have had my share that needed work and or cleaning of the Idle Jet just to get them to Run Correctly This generator runs as it was designed to and within seconds of starting it up. You slide the choke lever all the way to the left which shuts off the choke and then she Purrs and Idles Smoothly The"Hz Fequency"
