Vintage 1955 Ideal Chris Craft Wind-up Mahogany Power Speed Boat This is a 1955 vintage original Ideal Toys Chris Craft Powered Speed Boat with a wind up motor in it that still works.It is made of a great looking Mahogany finish hard plastic with chrome plated deck fittings and a very nice looking gold striping on each side of it.This Speed Boat is 12 1/2 inches long by 4 1/4 inches wide by 3 inches high in size.There are 2 opening deck hatch covers to give you access to the wind up motors turning key head which has a very small amount of rust on it.Inside the first seating area there is a steering wheel and leaver handle to lock the wind up motor when you wind it up to release the motors power to turn the propeller. It has a silver color plastic 3 bladed propeller with no broken blades on it.It has a movable metal rudder. There are no cracks.Chips ... morebut the boat has the Window broken off and some of the Chrome ornaments on the top boat deck are missing or broken. I provided pictures to show which ones. Some are marked on the bottoms and some are not; its obvious the previous owner added different buildings etc. to his model train layout over decades. A couple of taller grain silos/bins type buildings are made of corregated cardboard, but none of the other buildings are made that way. Some may have lost a little trim piece but I can't be certain.
