There is a small black electrical switch that powers the well with a single AA battery. Pump works smoothly and quietly. VINTAGE GULF OIL LIGHTED ROUND 25" DIE CUT GAS STATION PUMP ISLAND SIGN ORIGINAL
This is an original. Authentic Gulf Oil lighted sign. It is not an acrylic reproduction like the ones that have recently appeared on eBay. This came off the gas island canopy over the pumps. The case is all aluminum. There are no dents in the case and no cracks or scratches in the face. The letters on the face are embossed(raised) This sign measures 25" top to bottom and 27 1/2" across. It is 7" thick. It is single sided, 120 volt and can be plugged in to normal house current. When I aquired this sign, one olf the bulbs was burnt out so I replaced them both with brand new ones. This will give you years of trouble free lighting. As you can see in several of the photos, the high output ballast and high output bulbs are in excellent operating order. All the new owner will have to do is hang it up and plug it in. There is a 6 ft. ... moreheavy duty cord and plug attached to the back of the sign. This sign can be mounted indoors or outside since it has spent most of its life outdoors. The face is bright white as compared to most of these type signs that have yellowed through the years. This one has a nice glossy shine. The aluminum case can be polished to a high gloss, if so desired. This sign would look great hanging next to your old gas pump or your antique, classic or muscle car or even with your hot rod or truck. You can hang it in your garage, shop, game room, basement, man cave or family room. Pick up is OK. Sorry domestic shipping only. This is a very large 15 Inch gas sign for Texaco.It is porcelain. I have heard that these signs are called"Lubesters" for some reason. It is fresh from an estate.I have not cleaned it at all.This is how it looked when I bought it.As seen in the photos the sign is not perfect. It doe's have damage. This Eagle Pump Oil Can is in used working condition. Everything comes apart easily. The inside of the can is fairly clean and appears to be galvanized steel. There are spot of wear in the finish. It is a dirty greasy piece. We tried to clean it the best we could without removing any more of the finish. There is a small dent under one of the greasy spots. The little sign doe's have rust and chips.It has a lot of rust staining,and the stains look as if they are very deep in the porcelain.I buy items at estate sale,and this item came from an estate. This is a Standard White Crown gas pump sign.It is porcelain.It has what appears to be a date on the bottom right.The month in the date is not clear.I think it may be a five.The other number is 51.I don't know iof that is the year of manufacture,or the patent date. I bought the sign at an estate,as I do all my items. The sign is about 12 inches wide x about 15 inches tall.It doe's have damage,but it looks to be in pretty good condition to me.It had a lot of rusty signs piled on top of in in a leaky old shed.I guess that is where it got rust stained. I have not attempted to remove the rust,because I have heard that collectors like signs to be in as found condition. and I don't know how anyway. For your consideration a vintage 1957 Texaco Fire Chief Gasoline sign. The sign is constructed of metal and is single sided. It features a porcelain finish. It measures approximately 12" in width by 18" in height. This sign reads"FIRE CHIEF GASOLINE" and"TEXACO" with the image of a Fire Helmet. In the bottom left corner it reads"MADE IN U.S.A. and in the bottom right corner it reads"3-1-57" which dates this sign to 1957. This sign is in excellent condition and is one of the nicest I have ever seen. It does exhibit a slight curve from all those years attached to an old gas pump and it does exhibit some staining around the edges but overall this is a really nice piece. This is Mohawk porcelain gas pump sign.It measures a little less than 12 inches tall by about 11 inches wide.It is from the estate sale of an old collector.It is curved to fit on a round pump.I guess you would say it fits a visible pump.It is rusty.And rust stained,chipped,cracked,bent a little.It has suffered all types of damage as seen in the photos. It is not mint by any stretch of the imagination. When you sit down and play this it does sound off it works great. Here is the fun thing, when I played this I have a little 4yr old datsun. She is so funny because she wonders where the sound is coming from. Every chance she gets, going into the warehouse she stands ... moreand looks at the organ until I play the organ. Then she stands there for an hour or two watching the organ itself. This is a 2 piece organ. It is 75 tall, 47 wide, 22 ins front to back. Besides recieving the photo fo the family standing infront of the organ in the parlor room here are some other highlights. This has great pressed panels in walnut of birds floral musical instruments etc. There are three beveled mirrors. one is 17 1/2 wide, 9 1/2 ins tall. The two smaller ones are 6x6 ins. Here is what is fun. In a lifetime of being in the business. I have never owned, where the flat surface would be frosted and have hand painted birds on the front of the mirror. In the top, you have two more panels that are felt,these panels are great as well with hand painted birds. All pullouts or stops are made of porcelain.
