Beautiful Antique Velvet Pelmet 4 meters long
Stunningly beautiful antique velvet pelmet in a deep mustard yellow colour. The plump velvet tassels alternate in three colours. Dusky sage green, dusky pink and cream. The binding tape is also a mixture of these colours and has a deep screen like the tassels. The pelmet is lined with a hand stitched silky cotton( material. This pelmet is heavy, weighing 3kg and long, measuring 400cm. The depth of the pelmet is 43cm at its deepest. I have taken lots of photos so you can get a good picture of the wavy shape and the way the tassels hang. In one part of the pelmet, there are some tassels missing, see photo number 11, however it would be possible to relocate some of the other tassels(spread them out) or replace them. The other thing I want to point out is that in photo 12 you will see a small mark\stain which I have not tried to remove- it looks ... morelike rust? There are some crease marks where the pelmet has been folded which will iron out. The pelmet was quite difficult to photograph, and in some photographs the light/shadow has caused the velvet to look an uneven colour- this is not the case. When I bought this pelmet in Hungerford, back in the early 1980's I was told that it came from Elton John's house, however I have no providence or proof of this or tried to research this. This pelmet would look amazing on a large window with velvet curtains, or just hung on a wall as decoration. I can't be sure of the age(Victorian? or the origin(French? but this is definitely antique and not reproduction. Please feel free to ask me any questions at all. Gossen Luna-Pro & Lunasix Camera Light Meters
These are 2 Gossen Light Meters. One is a Gossen Lumasix Light Meter. It comes with a leather case with a broken clasp. It is in good condition with a little wear on the front dial. I am not a camera or light meter expert but it appears to work. When you slide the battery checker switch. The needle does move to the red battery OK indicator. When you press the right switch, it does give readings. The second Meter is a Gossen Luna-Pro. This one I can not get to work. None of the switches make the needle move and this Meter will need repair if possible. It is in good condition and comes with its Leather Case. The equipment that these were removed from was said to all be all working when removed.The dispensers had 2011 stickers on them showing that they did pass state calibrations as of 2011. There are aprox 30 of these meters here for one auction. some still have the pulsers and some dont. Their small sizes allow them to be mounted in the flash attachment shoe of most cameras. Unfortunately. I don't think any of them are working properly now. They appear to need replacement cells. The needles move freely and give the appearance that they are working. I know that they can be repaired and are quite valuable in excellent working condition. Three come with leather carrying cases.
