Here is a rare find of two beautiful classic VU meters from AMPEX-Redwood City. California. The model number as seen from the back view is 40893-2. They measure 4.5" wide and 4" in height, 3/4" face thickness. The date codes look to be 3-57 and 5-57. These VU meters are illuminated. Both VU meters work. The one on right illumination will need new bulbs for lighting and one brass stud is missing but can still be mounted succesfully. The one on the left is perfectly fine and illuminates beautifully. They offer an easy to read scale with a wide viewing angle and that retro classic look that you just can't find easily nowadays. Beautful condition. A tough find.
