Delta Rockwell 8" x 66" Jointer Single Phase 110, 220V. New bearings, etc.
We have two joiners so one has to go. This 8" Rockwell(shown in the back of our 6" long-bed on one photo) is complete with dust collection fittings and knife setting jig. It has new bearings and redone electricals. This type of electrical starter provides great protection for the 1.5HP motor. I just had the knives sharpened and I believe I have an extra set of knives. And if not, I will discount accordingly. Joins perfectly and runs on either 110 or 220 single phase. It is set up for 220V single phase now and it could be changed easily to 110V. If you are wanting to try it out, we can wire it again to 220 in the shop. A beautiful machine that should last for a few more generations. Oliver Model 144 AD 6" Jointer. 51" bed length. I have not tested the machine or seen it run. I can tell you that when I acquired it. There was still sawdust and chips falling out of it from recent use. Motor is 1/2 HP, 3 Phase, 1.67 A, 220 V, 60 Cycle, 3600 RPM. Bearings appear to be ok from hand turning. Fence is loose and may be missing a knob to lock it down; I think this could be overcome without much difficulty. Blades are in decent condition-few nicks near fence where use was heaviest. Sharp enough that I cut my finger while inspecting them. Overall, very rugged machine. With a little TLC this machine could have a lot of life left in it. Oliver Jointer 6" Model 133 B
Oliver Model 133 B 6" Jointer. 41" bed length. I have not tested the machine or seen it run. I can tell you that when I acquired it. There was still sawdust and chips falling out of it from recent use. Motor is 1/2 HP, 3 Phase, 1.4 A, 220 V, 60 Cycle, 3450 RPM. Bearings appear to be ok from hand turning. Blade guard rubs outfeed table slightly; I think this could be adjusted up without much difficulty. Blades are in decent condition-few nicks near fence where use was heaviest. Overall, very rugged machine. With a little TLC this machine could have a lot of life left in it. Oliver machinery is some of the best woodworking equipment ever made. This is a Vintage Jointer Three Cutter Blade Assembly. I do not know what brand it is and there is no maker's mark present. The removable blades measure approx. 6 1/8" and do not appear to have carbide inserts. They are in good condition. As you can see in the photos. There are two 5/8" dement shafts; one is 1" long and the other is 2 1/4" long and has a slot, as you can see in photo#2. The body. Itself, measures approx. 2 7/16" in diameter. The assembly is very, very solid and heavy, weighing in at over 7 pounds! The pictures above show the condition of the actual item you will receive. As I don't use stock photography. I have no other accessories, manuals or extras that are not pictured. It has an overall somewhat rusty patina, but it appears to be in very good condition besides that, and there are no cracks, ... morechips or dents that I cam see. H.B. Smith 12" Jointer Antique Vintage Planer
This is an 12" H.B. Smith jointer that came from a local mill in Baltimore. It came from a working environment. And includes an older western electric 5hp 3 phase motor. Condition: This machine is square head. It had some issues with knives apparently in the past and there are some places where they hit the tables. There is also some wear on the top of the tables themselves that may clean up fine. There is also a few small holes drilled into the table for a jig that was used for rabbiting and for bullnose. Pickup: This auction is local pickup only. The two tables move above a lower base casting that can be picked up with a crane. I can load it into a pickup or trailer.

Here is a nice vintage 6 inch wood jointer. It is a J-Line long bed(50 1/2inches) and has a 3 knife cutterhead. It was distributed by Broadhead Garrett Co. The fence is 34 1/2 inches long and has the angle setting for shear cuts. It comes with a vintage Craftsman metal stand and a Craftsman 1/2 HP motor. I think J-line was a line of tools designed for the industrial arts education departments as a smaller line of tools from Yates American Co. I recently upgraded to a Boice Crane 8" jointer to match match my Rockwell/Delta 8" jointer. And I no longer need the six inch jointer. This works excellent, may need a new belt before to long. Table top is 42" long, left table is 22 1/4" right table is 18 1/4" Both tables move freely and drop back for easy access to change blades or adjust. Has a 4" dust port, was hardwired in, so it has no plug on the cable. Sits on a 16" x 17" base, 34 3/4" tall. It has a 3/4 HP 1725 RPM motor, 60 Cycle, 32 AMP 3 phase, wired for 200 volts. This Cresent jointer/ shaper is a very heavy from the early 1900's it has two 2hp Leland motors that are 3 phase. The castings are all good except a handle that has been re welded. Planer Knives - HSS - 15" - 4 sets
Four sets(3 blades per set) of planers knives. At least one set has never been sharpened. And the other 3 sets have only been professionally sharpened once or twice. The knife size is 15" x 1" x 1/8" I used these on my Delta DC-380 planer, but they also fit some Grizzly, Jet, Powermatic, Bridgewood, Lobo, etc. models. The brands of these four knife sets are: 1- Delta; 2- Freud; 1- Titan. All in nice shape.

Yates American 12 Jointer
Yates American number 1 jointer. Is 3hp 3 phase 220 volt. Has a 4 knife round cutter head and comes with 2 sets of knives. I rebuilt the machine about 12 years ago and been running it ever since in a 2 man shop. I will skid for $75. I do not have a fork lift but is not too hard to get on a lift gate. If it is being shipped buyer is responsible for all of the shipper arrangements and payments. The foot print of the machine for shipping would be about 8 foot by 3 foot and about 1800lb. DELTA VARIABLE SPEED BENCH JOINTER 6 INCH Model 37-070 Extras
Obviously it's not a long bed floor model but for a bench model it works good. Only thing broke are the 2 adjust handles on the fence. They can be purchased for about 15 bucks each but I'm more than making up for it with 3 new sets of knives plus I just installed the set in the machine. I have used it since but for about 3 or 4 boards. Get yourself a small wet stone to take out small Knicks and make the knives last longer. One of the down sides of this and most bench jointers is the tables get oxidized. Then there is friction and the wood is hard to push through. A while ago I removed the tables and ran them gently through my big drum sander. They are now flatter than I think original. Then I hand sanded down to 1000 grit then polished on my buffer wheel. Then coated with(non wax) top coat which is a wood workers machine top sealer/ ... morecleaner. Prevents rust on steel tops like a table saw and prevents oxidization on aluminum/zinc tops like this. Check out the pictures. There is no wax to contaminate your wood but it's totally smooth and flat and no friction. For shipping I am removing and wrapping up the 2 tops and the fence The fence totally squares up with the top. I use a 6 inch machine square and it's perfect. I'll mark the 2 pieces right and left when facing the working side or front of the machine. Except for the 2 fence handles that an ex gorilla employee broke everything else is perfect. Because you really don't need to crank down hard on those handles I've just used pliers gently and it's worked fine so I never ordered new ones. Otherwise for the money it's a great machine. I installed a 4 inch dust collection chute because I try to control dust in my shop and this particular unit only had a rectangular opening which dumped the chips out to the left of the machine.
