Vintage Delta Model 37-207 6" Jointer & Cast Iron, Art-Deco Stand
This auction is for an older Delta jointer with a very desirable cast iron base. The unit is very clean but is in need of a switch to make it functional. The motor is not original. It is a 3/4 hp. Dual voltage, A.O. Smith. The belt/pulley guard is cast into the backside of the base. Knobs, screws, nuts and bolts appear to be the originals. To the best of my knowledge, and after looking it over carefully, I have found no cracks or chips in the iron. The machine comes from a dry environment so the inner base is clean. The Saturn ball on the fence adjusting handle is metal not the commonly seen plastic. I am listing this as a"local pick-up" however, if the seller wishes to make their own shipping arrangements, I would be willing to accommodate that. Thanks for looking.

Delta Rockwell No. 667 Cast Iron Stand Base for 6" Jointer or 6" Belt Sander
Delta No. 667 cast iron stand was the"top of the line" base to have on your delta 6" jointer or belt sander/6" abrasive finshing machine. These were only made from 1939 until 1966 and then discontinued. The unique"art deco" design made a unique looking base. The heavy cast iron gave unbelievable stability for these tools. I.e. minimal vibration and movement. Not a lot of them around because they were usually sold to school shops. This one had a short bed jointer on it and if you are going to use it for you belt sander it will work great. However, you will have to find the cast iron pulley guard for it, it was taller than the one that was used on the jointer and the sub-base top piece. The jointer stand is complete and in good condition. I don't see any cracks or extra holes on the stand. The stand will need ... morea repaint. But its not a rust bucket. The stand comes with all 13 slotted oval head bolts and the 4 knurled nuts holding the back panel. The shop made collector port was attached without making any new holes in then seal in place with a laytex sealant. Classic 1940 Delta Rockwell 6" Jointer Model 654 or 37-207
For sale is 1940(Ser. No. 1-1400) Delta No. 654 6" Jointer. It has a single phase. Repulsion-induction,1/2 HP, 110/220 V, 50 HZ,1425 RPM motor. The motor is set to run on 110 volts and when pluged into the current 60 HZ power system the motor runs at 1720 RPM. The jointer does work but needs to be cleaned and adjusted. The stand was sand blasted and repainted a few years ago so it doesn't need much. It doesn't have a belt guard, but that's typical of the older machines. I also have a 1940 Delta 14" band saw for sale. Vintage Delta Rockwell *6" Jointer* Retractable Caster Set ~chipped wheels~
Here's a set of Delta Rockwell Retractable Caster Wheels These came off a Delta Milwaukee 6" Jointer Base. Of course. The only difference, to the best of my knowledge. Between all of the casters for the'Splayed Feet' bases. Is the length of the rod. And the spacing of the holes for the split pin that locks the'Cams' in place. Thus. Not terribly difficult to make a new rod, and adapt these to many other machines. These are in Good Condition, except for significant chipping to the plastic wheels. The metal'holders' for the wheels are just fine. The wheels are included. But I forgot to take a photo of them. I'll add that photo tomorrow. The wheels could be replaced. And these casters would work great. I think that an entire replacement wheel could be found. Or one end of the riveted axle ground off; and just ... morethe wheel itself replaced. I do not have definitive proof that it is a stock item sold by Delta at the time(I looked for a little bit) but this doesn't look home-made because of the curved section at the top and the perfect folds in the sheet metal. Rockwell/Delta 6" Jointer, 3 Phase, 220V/32AMP, Model 66-023, Series 37-220
I recently upgraded to a Boice Crane 8" jointer to match match my Rockwell/Delta 8" jointer. And I no longer need the six inch jointer. This works excellent, may need a new belt before to long. Table top is 42" long, left table is 22 1/4" right table is 18 1/4" Both tables move freely and drop back for easy access to change blades or adjust. Has a 4" dust port, was hardwired in, so it has no plug on the cable. Sits on a 16" x 17" base, 34 3/4" tall. It has a 3/4 HP 1725 RPM motor, 60 Cycle, 32 AMP 3 phase, wired for 200 volts. If you want to test it on the day of pickup email me as a question, as it will take coordination to get it back to my shop. This is guaranteed to run or your money back, and I will come get it. DELTA VARIABLE SPEED BENCH JOINTER 6 INCH Model 37-070 Extras
Obviously it's not a long bed floor model but for a bench model it works good. Only thing broke are the 2 adjust handles on the fence. They can be purchased for about 15 bucks each but I'm more than making up for it with 3 new sets of knives plus I just installed the set in the machine. I have used it since but for about 3 or 4 boards. Get yourself a small wet stone to take out small Knicks and make the knives last longer. One of the down sides of this and most bench jointers is the tables get oxidized. Then there is friction and the wood is hard to push through. A while ago I removed the tables and ran them gently through my big drum sander. They are now flatter than I think original. Then I hand sanded down to 1000 grit then polished on my buffer wheel. Then coated with(non wax) top coat which is a wood workers machine top sealer/ ... morecleaner. Prevents rust on steel tops like a table saw and prevents oxidization on aluminum/zinc tops like this. Check out the pictures. There is no wax to contaminate your wood but it's totally smooth and flat and no friction. For shipping I am removing and wrapping up the 2 tops and the fence The fence totally squares up with the top. I use a 6 inch machine square and it's perfect. I'll mark the 2 pieces right and left when facing the working side or front of the machine. Except for the 2 fence handles that an ex gorilla employee broke everything else is perfect. Because you really don't need to crank down hard on those handles I've just used pliers gently and it's worked fine so I never ordered new ones. Otherwise for the money it's a great machine. I installed a 4 inch dust collection chute because I try to control dust in my shop and this particular unit only had a rectangular opening which dumped the chips out to the left of the machine. This blade cover is off a Delta Milwaukee 6" Jointer/Planer. It does have surface damage and wear from use such as light scratches and abrasions but nothing major. It also does have minor flaking and has a rough surface from use.

Here’s a used cutter head assembly with both bearing housings for a 6” Delta Rockwell Milwaukee jointer. This was removed from a working 60’s era 6" Delta Model 37-220. These will also fit Models 37-205. 37-207 and possibly others. The key-way slot, bearing surfaces, and cutter slots are also in great condition.
