8" Delta Rockwell Jointer Cutterhead with knives 37-315
This is a 3 straight knife cutterhead removed from a 1970's era Delta jointer. When they were badged under Rockwell. The knives still have plenty of life left in them. Give them a quick sharpening and they are ready to go. includes the gibs as well. The bearings are included; no damage to the bearings was observed, but they are 40 years old and included for reference only not as a working item. I will include the source of new bearings to the winning bidder upon request, they were maybe 10 bucks each if I recall. The second picture includes dimensions for this cutterhead. Please check your machine before bidding to ensure it will fit. The cutterhead is in good useable shape. This listing is for a complete cutterhead assembly for a Delta DJ-20 8" Jointer. Also included is the Left and Right bearings for this cutterhead. All of the items are in used condition. The bearings look brand new. The knives on the cutter head have a few knicks on the edges. Please see the pictures for more details. There is also some dust and grease on the cutterhead, and this will be left as is for the new owner to clean or leave to their liking. There is no rust on this assembly. The cutterhead will be shipped coated with a rust preventative so that it reaches it's new owner rust free. This item comes from a smoke free home. Please ask questions before buying.

Nice set of DELTA 8" jointer knives for delta DJ-20 jointer. I don't know if they fit anything else. Sharpened a couple of times. They could use it again. Very light surface rust on 2 blades. This will come off in a sharpening. Lines on the face of one blade have always been there and don't affect use. Some wood sap residue that needs to be cleaned. This auction is for the cast iron base assembly for a vintage 8" Delta. Crescent, Rockwell, Milwaukee jointer. The base is intact with no cracks or breaks. a few extra holes on the switch side which are easily patched, otherwise pristine. You get the 4 base side pieces, plus the top pulley cover and potbelly pieces, the motor mount assembly and all hardware. The 4 knurled nuts for the back are here but they have plier marks. You do NOT get the jointer. Motor or switch. It would be great if you picked this up at zip 50458. But I am prepared to ship it to you. Delta Rockwell 8" x 66" Jointer Single Phase 110, 220V. New bearings, etc.
We have two joiners so one has to go. This 8" Rockwell(shown in the back of our 6" long-bed on one photo) is complete with dust collection fittings and knife setting jig. It has new bearings and redone electricals. This type of electrical starter provides great protection for the 1.5HP motor. I just had the knives sharpened and I believe I have an extra set of knives. And if not, I will discount accordingly. Joins perfectly and runs on either 110 or 220 single phase. It is set up for 220V single phase now and it could be changed easily to 110V. If you are wanting to try it out, we can wire it again to 220 in the shop. A beautiful machine that should last for a few more generations. Little used one owner machine that was for personal use. Machine still has the original knives which have no nicks. Also included is the original operating manual. The 8" Long-Bed Jointer joints and surfaces stock up to 8 1/16" wide. The jointer has an extra-long 5-1/2 foot bed and a 4 x 34 inch center mounted fence. The motor is 19.2/ 9.5 Amps and 1.5 HP; presently wired for 220 volts. The approximate weight of the machine is 325 lbs.
