Tye pull type no till drill. 7.5 inch spacing. Drill has large seed box and small seed box. Used this drill the las 7-8 yrs to overseed 20 acres with rye. Oats, millet, and clover. Drill was last used in late spring to drill millet. One tire is new and the other is barely used. Coulter blades have seen little use since being replaced around year and a half ago. Hoses are in very good shape not very old.coulter blade on right side was missing when i purchased and has not been replaced. One spout coming out of small seed box is broken and could use repair. Some Press wheels are showing significant wear. Seed boxes are tight in good shape with little rust. Acreage counter was broken when bought and not replaced. There is alot of information on the internet but essentially, this unit will allow you to significantly reduce the amount of salt applied by pre-wetting salt or by pre-treating parking lots prior to snow. It is also significantly cheaper to make salt brine than to buy liquid calcium chloride or well brine and have it delivered. This unit would sell new for $ 30.000- $ 40,0000 This unit will need to be gone through. Its likely the motor isn't working and possibly even the pump. A few valves will need to be replaced ... morealso. My guess is you may spend $ 800- 1500 in new parts to make it perfect. I own a sod farm and this was only used to fill in any areas of seeding by our big seeders that may have a thin stand for some reason. The seeder has the curved or banana blades to slice into existing grass stands without doing extensive damage. It has 2 inch knife spacing for quick seed establishment. Unit is 72 inches wide and requires 40 to 60 hp tractor to operate. Depth of seed placement variable from 0 to 1.5 inches deep. Category 1. 3 point hitch and a 540 rpm pto required.
