Sitrex FS500 Broadcast Spreader and Fertilizer This spreader is considered"used" but was only used on three times. While I used it infrequently for your big jobs it is worth it weight in gold! This spreader and fertilizer is driven by a tractor PTO and uses a three-point hitch to mount to the back of a tractor. The spreader has a single piece steel hopper. An internally mounted agitator helps keep material in the hopper from bridging(see picture from manufacturers brochure) This ensures a continuous hopper flow and uniform delivery rate. The spreader allows for an adjustable pattern. Only to the right, only to the left or evenly right and left(see picture from manufacturers brochure) This is accomplished by adjustable vanes on a rotary plate at the bottom of the hopper. The flow out of the hopper is controlled by a handle that adjusts ... moreand can later be locked into place. The hopper on the spreader is sized at a maximum load of over 900lbs. It had about 8 bags of fertilizer run through it then before it was cleaned up and put back on the shelf, boxed. I finally got it out and used it again this Spring for another 8 bags before it was cleaned up and boxed away again. It's total run time is less than 2 hours. What you see is what you get. I added an electrical harness extension and a conduit handle extension to what this originally came with. I plugged the spreader into a light connection and used the lights fuse and switch but you might have to do something different. I also made up a hitch receiver piece so the spreader can be used mounted in a standard 2-inch receiver hitch. As pictured ... moreon the Cub Cadet. The first 6 photos are what you get. Up for sale is a metal Baltic seeder/spreader. PTO powered. It belonged to my father so I honestly don't know much about it; thus, I apologize in advance if I have made any errors in my description. This spreader is used, but looks to be in pretty good condition; though, as you can tell in the photos above, it does have a little rust. A sticker on the side reads: Baltic Korn A/S DK-4700 NAESTVED Denmark. Another sticker gives the seed spreading which is from 1-15. The goal of the development was a tool with which to achieve a high hole count per sq.ft. in one pass and without drive via p.t.o. The result is the spiked roller with 3/16" solid tines and square hole spacing of 1" Making turns without damaging the turf is possible due to the flexible attachment of the 3/16" solid tines. The overseeding unit is mounted directly to the frame of the TERRA COMBI via a parallelogram. The stirring shaft integrated into the galvanized seed container is ... moredriven via a V-belt by the low-pressure tires of the overseeding unit. The seed brush. Which is also parallelogram-suspended, brushes the seed into the seed holes. The trailed seed roller with low-pressure tires presses the seed into the soil, thereby promoting intensive contact between seed and soil. The low-pressure tires with self-cleaning effect prevent materials from accumulating on the wheels. For quick setting of the discharging volume or for quick change of seeds, the overseeding unit is equipped with a calibration trough and a turning crank. The short distance between seed discharge opening and turf of only 5" minimizes the risk that the seed will be blown away by the wind. This unit has only been used a few times.
