Earthway 3500 Hand Held Garden Spreader Yard Seeder Salt De-Ice Fertilizer
This auction is for a used EarthWay"EV- N- SPRED" hand held spreader/ seeder. It is made entirely of plastic. It measures 7" wide x 8-1/2" deep x 8-3/8" tall. I don't know the capacity but it looks to be about 3 quarts(I have shown a 12oz pop can for size reference) It has a knob on the carry handle that can be set from 1 thru 3 to accomodate the particle size being spread. It is operated by turning the crank handle while pulling the trigger on the carry handle to release the contents. I have not used this and I do not know how wide of a swath it will produce. I'm not sure when this was made. But it's obviously vintage since it was made in the USA. This spreader/seeder is in very good used condition. It has a few scratches and scuffs. But it looks nice. The top is curved inward about 1/4" on the side ... morewith the crank handle but it has no obvious damage. It operates freely as it should. I removed the bottom portion to clean and inspect the inner mechanism. The inner parts look to be in excellent condition with little wear. It has a worn label on the bottom and glue remnants of a label on the front. I have cleaned inside and out. This is a nice looking spreader that will work well. I also have listed an Ortho Whirlybird seeder. Which is similiar in function, but is smaller than this. See my other items if interested. This will be shipped USPS priority mail with insurance included. This is a QUALITY Spreader purchased at a Local FARM SUPPLY store and not a big box with cheap Chinese products but this is from an AMERICAN company and well made. It is in MINT Condition. The seeder comes with only one seeding disk the 1002-4 Sweet Corn Disk. You can purchase many other seed disks on Ebay or from EarthWay. Also the next row marker metal rod and bracket is not with this unit. Also can be purchased. The seeder comes with all the rest of its parts and works great. Just put the corn seeds in the hopper. Adjust the depth bracket to seeding depth, and start seeding. The chain will cover the soil behind the seeds. I will remove the handle(4 bolts and 4 nuts) and back wheel(one bolt.
