The Galion Iron Works Company was founded by David Charles Boyd in 1907. In the central Ohio town from which the company took its name. Galion’s first products included a wide range of road-building and other construction equipment, such as drag scrapers, plows, wagons, stone unloaders, rock crushers, and a variety of other"experimental machines" By 1911, Galion had settled the design of a light-duty, horse-drawn road grader, which entered serial production. The"Light Premier" was an early grader produced in 1915. It was billed as light enough for two horses, but strong enough for four. Its blade could be raised, lowered, angled, tilted, and shifted sideways, just like the blade movements on a modern grader. Galion soon became famous for building some of the largest pull-type graders made for road construction. Popular throughout the 1920s and 1930s. I'm pretty sure there is a loose wire somewhere and/or the battery contacts need to be cleaned. I have up for auction today one vintage JACKSON PRODUCTS SAFETY HAT(TYPE SH-1) that I think dates back to the 1960s on the side of the helmet is a sticker that reads Always Safety 67 NCSA National Crushed Stone Association. Plus it has the name of R. White on the helmet. This helmet is yellow(the pics make it look more to the white side but its a yellow helmet) There are some Dings and nicks in the brim of this helmet from being used. Plus a hole has been punched in the back of the brim that a wire has been put through to hang the helmet up. The internal straps seems to be in good condition. The helmet shows wear from being used. Switch appears to be an after-market installation by previous owner Does not appear to have photocell- does not turn off when held up to indoor lighting. Has a hole at he top of the case. So maybe a photocell fell down in the light, or maybe the hole was drilled for, but not used for, a switch. I don't know. No Bottom door. Looks like it would've originally had one. Battery is held in by a metal lip. Contacts are clean.

Chrysler Building Fixture - Vintage item from original construction
This is a fixture from the famed and iconic Chrysler building in New York City. This was salvaged by my father who was working there during the 1977 remodeling facelift of the building. This fixture is from the original 1936 construction and was mounted on the 24th floor to direct visitors to the correct elevators to reach the higher floors. The pies is quite heavy and seems to be made of cast bronze. The writing"ALL STOPS 25th to 44th USE OTHER CARS" is in good condition and clearly shows through when a light is shined behind it. This piece screams to be made into a light fixture. It has textured piece of glass in front and a white opaque glass in back all in good shape. Up for auction is a Vintage Collection of Navy CB Seebees Patches. Black light tested. No glow. Please view pictures and good luck! I have recently acquired a lifelong collection consisting of over 500+ patches and other related items. The gentleman collected these from WWII through 1978 and kept them framed under glass on display at his home. Vintage Original School Home Building Construction Model House Indiana Folk Art I am still listing new items from Indiana. And have a boatload of new things from the flea market too. Lots of primitive antiques, farm finds, folk art, and the usual wacky Maureen stuff- you don’t want to miss this week! I guarantee you won't find another one like this on ebay- or anywhere else for that matter- it's a one of a kind hand made oldee! I stopped at a sale in a very rural area in central Indiana and stumbled upon this beauty. The man that owned it told me that it had been used in the boys construction class at their local high school- it was a teacher built model. Used as a demonstration of the"guts" for lack of a better word of the construction of a home. Isn't it cool? At first, I thought it was a bird house- like a purple ... moremartin house or something like that- but then I realized no, it was different- no bird holes or front doors, and purposely exposed sides so that you can see the parts of the inside of the house. It appears as if all real materials were used- except for the chimney, which is carved wood, not brick, and there's some type of partical board under the roofing shingles- see photo 6, and there's a holed bead type board under the pitch of the roof- see photo 8. The rest is wood, and even faux wood(I think it's like a linoleum type? for the floor inside one space of the house. I can only put 24 photos in my listings- and I could have used 124 on this one- it will keep you looking for a long time. The house measures 18 1/2" tall to the top of the pitch of the roof, 22 1/2" tall to the top of the chimney. At the bottom of the roof, it measures 14" by 17 1/2. At the body of the house, it measures 15 1/2" by 10 3/4. It weighs a hefty 17 lbs and has its original grey painted finish that is rustic and worn. I know I know, it's going to be expensive to ship, especially to some locations- but it is so worth it, this one is too cool to pass up. Local pick up is
