The accompanying images were scanned from a reprint. Not the original. The Bucyrus Company was organized in 1880. Until it vanished by being sold to Caterpillar for $8.8 billion in July 2011. Bucyrus-Erie had more experience in the manufacture of excavating machinery than any other concern in the world. At the beginning of the twentieth century, Bucyrus supplied 77 of the 102 steam shovels used to dig the Panama Canal. In 1927, Bucyrus merged with the Erie Steam Shovel Company to form Bucyrus-Erie. The Bucyrus 20-B full-revolving steam shovel on mechanized tracks. Was introduced in 1922. It’s bucket gulped a modest.75 cubic yard, but there were a lot of customer who did not have canals to dig, and the 20-B was a solid success. It was used for digging in quarries, building roads, trenching and lifting. They were available as cable shovels, cable hoes, draglines and cranes as both crawler mounted machines and"Transit Machines" which were truck mounted. This is a owners manual and parts list for a Bucyrus-Erie 15-B Crane NO 111067 that was printed in May 1948. This was for machine number 23729. My grandfather used to own this crane and sold it many years ago and I just found the manual. This is great condition for its age just dusty. Great collectors item or an absolute necessity for a crane restore project. The manual is in very good shape and is full of info and charts. Covers all you need to know to properly set up and operate the crane in a safe and efficient manner. It has been used. But is in good shape otherwise. The front cover is missing upper right corner, and has some writing on it like doodling. The back page has more writing and razor blade damage. Many of the pages are stuck together, see pics. The other one. Bulletin H-3-1b, is 11 pages and in much better condition. Has some water damage lower right throughout. Comes with(5) 1 page inserts. Bucyrus Erie Porcelain Sign C. 1930-1950's For Crane. Dozer& Drilling Rigs. After doing my research, this sign was made by Verigrite signs Chicago. sign is Not marked) This sign used to be affixed to the boom or cab of Bucyrus shovels, drag lines and power drilling equipment years ago. This sign measures approximately 25" in length and 7 1/2" in heigth. It is in good condition for it's age. There is some rusting on both sides of the sign. The back of the sign has some major chipping away of it's blue backing. One of the holes still has a glue substance that can be removed from hole with a good cleaning. Likewise, the front of the sign is also in need of a good cleaning. Overall, this is in pretty good condition for it's age. This is a very cool sign!

Real Nice Crawler Crane Bucyrus Erie 25B (dragline, pile driver) - Needs Repair
We are offering for sale a nice little Bucyrus Erie 25B cable crawler crane. This crane belongs to my father's pile driving business. My father passed about 2 years ago. And we have now decided that we will sell the crane. I've worked with my father's business here and there, so I am only a little familiar with the crane. It has about 60' of boom and has air controls. I am told that the air controls are really nice and eliminate operator fatigue. It is powered by a GM diesel engine, I believe it is a 4 cylinder. I am amazed at how easily it starts, even in winter weather. I do know that this crane was functioning well as a pile driving crane before we most recently have been using it for a yard lift crane. As such. It does start and function every time we need it, about every 6 months or so. We did recently use it to load ... moreout some items. One time, it had been sitting about 6 months through the winter and without jumping or charging the battery, it started almost immediately upon cranking. Many hours of maintenance was done to it about 2 years ago were everything was gone through and adjusted, including the air system was all gone over to eliminate leaks. In addition to needing a larger battery, It does need repair to the house lock, and one of the track dogs, which does not lock-out. I am told that if it were used more frequently, that these items would stay looser and work more as they should. I am also told that this crane still has all of the covers for the cable drum areas, that are usually missing from this model of crane. I don't know how old it is, but I remember my dad stating that it was one of the later 25B's made by Bucyrus Erie. This would make a nice dragline(drag-line) crane for someone(we do not have a dragline bucket for it) or a good little pile driving crane, as it was for us. IT SEAMS TO HAVE ALL PARTS WITH NO DAMAGE. THE WHEEL FOR THE CRANE DOES TURN FINE BUT I DON'T KNOW IF IT SUPPOSE TO TURN THE PULLEYS ON THE CRANE. IT DOES NOT ROTATE THE PULLEYS. Bucyrus-Erie Dragline Crane Model 14B
I used this crane to dig my pond. It is a Bucyrus-Erie 14B 1960 vintage. It has a International UDH-236 6 cyl. diesel. Runs and digs good. Has a rebuilt starter. Generator, injector pump and injectors and new water pump. Also has 4 new glow plugs. All glow plugs work and engine starts good. Battery is in good. Holds a charge very well. Engine had the valves reground and new head gasket 4 years ago. Has a compressed air control system to control transportation system. I have 2 spare track segments and a clutch and brake band. These extra bands do need to be relined. Machine digs good and runs about 8 hours on 5-7 gals of diesel fuel. Transportation system needs a little maintainance. ie. chains adjusted. Machine works well. All greaseable areas have been recently greased. Has a Borg twin-disc main clutch that does not slip. The engine oil ... morebath air cleaner was recently serviced. Right and left steering brakes need adjustment but machine does turn. The house lock needs the air brake actuator repaired as it has an air leak and won't engage the turret lock. This part is similar to a truck air brake actuator and can easily be repaired by replacing the rubber pancake. Also radiator has a small leak at the top but does not affect operation. Cables are in decent usable condition. Machine has 40ft boom and a 3/4 yard bucket. Have an engine manual and original sales brochure which show a lot or good information. Starts good even in cold weather. Machine will do the job for someone who wants to dig their own pond. Local pickup only. Will not ship. BUYER NEEDS TO PROVIDE FOR PICKUP AND TRANSPORTING. Please message me so that I can correct the listing. Thank you. This listing is for a Lionel HO 0879-1 Bucyrus Erie Post War Operating Crane with the original box. Insert, instructions and the original crank for the crane boom. It looks to be in very good condition. I tested the boom and the hook and both are working. The box is in good condition with no damage- all flaps present. The insert and instructions do have some staining- see pictures. Please study all the pictures and ask any questions that you may have.
