Trace Elliot Super Tramp 100 W Head-Both a Tube in the pre-amp and a solid state power amp. Great condition overall. Very brilliant head. 3 channels overall. 1 clean, 2 overdrive. Also has a gain boost to add more gain at high volumes and gives the amp a nice tube-like crunch. Do not have a footswitch that will come with this. A BREAKDOWN OF THE ARTIST/S: One of the better British progressive bands of the early'70s. The Strawbs differed from their more successful compatriots- the Moody Blues, King Crimson, Pink Floyd- principally in that their sound originated in English folk music, rather than rock. Founded in 1967 as a bluegrass-based trio called the Strawberry Hill Boys by singer/guitarist Dave Cousins, the group at that time consisted of Cousins, guitarist/singer Tony Hooper, and mandolinist Arthur Philips, who was replaced in 1968 by Ron Chesterman on bass. That same year, the group- now rechristened the Strawbs, and doing repertory well beyond the bounds of bluegrass music- briefly became a quartet with the temporary addition of Sandy Denny, who stayed long enough to record a relative handful of tracks with the group on the Hallmark label before joining ... moreFairport Convention. In 1969, the Strawbs were signed to A&M Records, and cut their first album, the acoustic-textured Strawbs, that same year. For their second album, Dragonfly, recorded and released the following year, the group broadened their sound with the presence of a group of session musicians, including piano/organist Rick Wakeman. Soon after the release of this record, the group became a full-fledged band with the addition not only of Wakeman but also Richard Hudson and John Ford, on drums and bass, respectively. These changes, coupled with Cousins' increasing dexterity on electric guitar, gave the Strawbs a much more powerful sound that was showcased on their next album. The live Just a Collection of Antiques and Curios(1970) sold well, and was followed up the next year with From the Witchwood. In 1971, Wakeman left the Strawbs in order to join Yes; he was replaced by Blue Weaver formerly of the Amen Corner. Grave New World(1972) showed the band entering its strongest period, with Cousins' songwriting augmented by the new prowess of the composing team of Hudson and Ford. 19th C. British Victorian Art Nouveau Oak Hallstand Hall Stand Foyer Truly. This is one of the most unusual hall stands that we have ever come across. The wood is solid"tiger" oak and has a carved lion's head at the top and four smaller lion's heads at the tops of each column with the center two columns ending in a cabriole leg and lion's paw foot. It also has incised carving that frames the entire back, finely carved interconnecting scrolls on the back panels and gadrooning on the edge of the top shelf. The brass hooks are original as well as the umbrella pans(painted) at the bottom. What is most unusual about this piece is the Art Nouveau influence in the carvings, especially along the apron of the shelf and the back panels. Although Art Nouveau(1890's-1910's) was a prevalent style in the U.K. it wasn't ... morea significant influence in furniture making at the time which makes this hall stand even more unique. Here is a wonderful early to mid-twentieth century carved dark oak corner cabinet. Imported from the UK through Edinburgh and ready for use in your home or place of business today. This sweet cabinet stands 68 inches tall and measures 29 inches wide across the front. The distance from the front center of the cabinet straight back to the corner is 28 inches, with each of the side walls measuring 19 inches back to the corner. The top section of the cabinet is 38 inches tall with the base and two additional removable shelves which when in place offer about 11 inches of clearance above each and closer to 14 inches above the top shelf. These shelves are enclosed with leaded glass doors. Please note these are leaded over the glass, not individually paned windows. The lower cabinet behind wood doors is 21 inches tall with one removable shelf and ... morethe base.
