Bird Lot Set Thruline 4805 Wattmeter, 3 1/8 EIA Line Section, 25KW Element
This is a great lot of stuff from the Bird Electronic Corporation Included in this auction are: Thruline Wattmeter Model 4805 Set. Serial# 922. This Wattmeter is in beautiful shape. There are just a couple of chips in the paint as you can see in the pictures. It comes with the matching coaxial Line Section, Bird Part 4805-000. Zoom in on picture three and you can see the Serial# 922 is stamped in to the element housing. As the pictures show there is obviously some tarnishing to the line section. This would be easy to polish up if one chose to. I see no damage or wear and tear that would hinder the performance of this line section. The last part to this set is a Bird 25KW Wattmeter Element in the range of 50-125 Mhz, Model 25KB3. This Element also has the serial number 922 in the directional arrow on the Element. As a bonus to this set I am ... moreincluding another Wattmeter and Element: Thruline Wattmeter Model 4805. Serial# 466. This Wattmeter looks to be identical to the other one except for the clips that hold the elements in their storage spots. It also has a much longer cord, probably 20 ft of cord. There are a couple of nicks in the cord where you can see the shielding wire. This Wattmeter has a serial number that shows Bird made 455 units between this one and the other one in the listing so it is obviously older. It is still in great shape though. The bonus Element I am throwing in with this lot is a Bird 1000B. Rate at 1000 watts in the 50-125 MC range. I am not even close to the beginner level on using any one of these. I do not know how to test them to assure they are fully functioning. Though I am pretty sure they are good to go. I have a Fluke multimeter, if there is a way you know of to measure something with it to see if they are functioning properly, let me know and I will test them. Please rely on the pictures more than on my description because I could be wrong in my description.
