microcontroller based RF Power Meter Module removed from defunct RF instrument
RF Power Meter Module removed from defunct(Spirent TAS5600) RF testset. I believe it originally measured RF power from modulated signal generators that generated WCDMA cellular signals as well as interfering signals in the 700MHz– 2.5GHz frequency range so the instrument could output calibrated signal levels. Module contains analog and digital(CPU) circuitry as well as a Gigatronics P/N# 29606C power sensor module. Item measures approximately 7” long(incl. connectors) X 4” Wide X 2” Thick. Unit has 4 threaded holes in bottom cover for mounting. SMA Female connector for RF input, and a multi-pin connector for power and interface. Probably is functional since it was removed from a complete piece of equipment but I have no way to test. Nice item as spare part or as an interesting project for an experimenter. We have not checked the state of the internal Ni-MH battery, but best to assume that it is probably dead(1999 manufacture date, could probably be rebuilt if desired) This item is being sold with a 30-day warranty.
