Noninductive Dummy Load 52 ohm 100 Watt
You are bidding on a used Gold Line 100 watt 52 ohm non-inductive dummy load. I connected my Kenwood HF 100 watt transceiver to my bird wattmeter to this dummy load. In transmit the Bird meter showed 100 watts with the Bird slug in the forward position. When I reversed the Bird slug it showed zero reflected power. So it appears the dummy load is performing as it should. Used, tested, but sold as is no returns due to it being an electronics item. This appears to be an open air dummy load. At first glance it appears the top cover is missing. The dummy load is bradded together everywhere with rivits and there are no holes anywhere to connect a lid if there was one. So my assumption is that it was designed this way for open air ventilation. If there ever was a lid I don't have it. The load has a large snap in non-inductive resister that can ... moreeasily be seen. I felt of the resister after a short transmission and it was very warm so this will not handle more that 100 watts and will likely not handle 100 watts for any extended amount of time. The metal factory tag bradded to the bottom says: Dummy Load, 52 ohm, 100 watt Non-inductive, Gold Line, Norwalk, Conn. Thanks for looking. K5ST
