Assembled Reprap Prusa Mendel 3d printer with autolevel
I was given a partial Reprap Prusa Mendel. This machine only need electronics and an extruder to get started. This machine has 4 Nema Motors(x.Y,z) Prusa pcb heated bed. What was upgraded before it wasgifted to me was Loches z axis upgrade(google thingiverse loches zaxis upgrade) for the top triangle brackets This originally was a bowden style printer. Metal t5 pulleys and belts, as well as metal zaxis couplers. Prevous Owner also printed out a switch panel for ledlights he installed and a fan control. From what he has given me the only items that i know have any issue is two cracked bar clamps and a slightly warped x carriage. This is a great beginner kit. Through ebay, craigslist and local hackerspace(s)forums i have been able together a few more items for this build. The gregs extruder(googlethingiverse gregs extruder) was given to me ... morebecause of warp on the bottom and a cracked idler arm. I used a heater to flatten it the best i could and mounted it with Zip ties to level it out. Another item i was given was sanguinololu 1.3 electronics that was subjected to too much power. I replaced the blown 35v capatistor and the all the stepper drivers. After doing that the electronics controlled all elements but the heated bed's thermistor. I found the broken lead and soldered a new connector and bridged it. With the electronics and extruder i Invested in a Hotend. And in all the trial and error process i have had with my friends printer and what i read on the forums the most common failure in hotends is the peek liner starts to leak. So i went with Josef Prusa's All stainless steel Hot End(google prusa nozzle) $100 dollar value) With this and very little calibration i was able to print a temporary Idler arm and a raspberrypi case. UPDATE 2-14-14 I was able to purchase an arduino and ramps 1.4 with drivers fairly cheap and a servo. Currently the neat wiring is undone to replace the Sanginololu and configure the servo autolevel. I bought this Makibox last year and it took forever and a day to actually arrive. When it finally did arrive. I got it put together and the hot end blew after the first use. So I packed it up and here I am a year later selling it! It should work fine after replacing the hot end. I have no interest in fixing it. It's in otherwise very good condition.

The reason it is for parts or repair is because the printer would not respond to manual commands to move the nozzle in different directions on the printer interface. I have been over it several times and could not physically find anything wrong and could not figure out how to fix the problem of not being able to manually command the print head. If you know a lot about reprap and think you can figure out the problem and fix then you have found yourself a great deal. This 3d printer has lots of extra parts and upgrades and 11 partial rolls of.3mm PLA plastic for printing things. It has the original instruction manual and the original disk with all info and the download for the printer interface and all kinds of extra goodies. 3D Printer SeeMeCNC H-1 (RepRap Huxley) Needs Extruder Nozzle
SeeMeCNC H-1 3D Printer A plastic extrusion printer based on a RepRap Huxley. Any other info that you need about the SeeMeCNC H-1. You can find on Google. PLEASE READ CONDITION! Condition: I assembled this from a kit in late 2012. I installed LinuxCNC on an old PC half-tower to run the 3D printer. I was able to control the 3 axis servos. As well as the servo for the plastic extrusion using LinuxCNC. The problem is the 2 piece extrusion nozzle- the filament would ooze through the gap between the two nozzle pieces. Either you will need to find a way to seal it better. Find where to buy the 1 piece nozzle that was featured in the updated SeeMeCNC 3D printers, or make your own nozzle from the Open Source CAD drawings. I never got a chance to tweak the settings in LinuxCNC, so some tweaking or other software wizardry may be in order to finish ... morethe project. I repeat- this is a MOSTLY finished project! I have tested that the servos run, the heater works and is regulated, but due to the problem with the extruder nozzle, I have never actually made a 3D printed part with it. PC: A PC is required to make this operate. A low-latency serial connection is required. This means two things: 1- the Free and Open Source LinuxCNC operating system needs to be installed on the PC, or you could run the OS from a USB drive or DVD. 2- this PC may need a real actual Serial connection, not through a Serial-to-USB converter, because Serial actually has better latency than USB. Usually you will need to find an older PC to have areal Serial(aka gamepad) connector. I still have the PC. It is a heavy half tower, and is up in my attic behind a bunch of junk, so I really don't feel like bringing it out to take pics of it right now. It's an old PC that runs LinuxCNC fine, but would run any other software pretty slowly. If you really want the PC, I will sell it to you for $50 + actual shipping.
