Why would you print on printed adapters that induce inaccuracy? We all know how warped the stock plate is and frustrating it can be to get a good print off of it. I tried glass and it worked better but was hard to work with and lasted a week before I broke it trying to get a part off(no safety glasses so I was very lucky) Also the machine had to be modified to accept the 3/8 glass. That was a mistake too. So here it is. A machined aluminum plate cut to exact tolerance and thickness! No need to modify your machine as this snaps right in! It also weighs less than the heavy glass plates. This build plate will improve the quality and consistency of your Makerbot by prints! The top surface is custom cut to +/ 0004 of inch flatness and parallelism and then Hard Anodized to Mil Spec to make it super durable. I won’t use the cheap consumer grade anodizing that just won’t hold up. We all know that glass is flat. But it’s not +/ 0004 flat and why add unnecessary inaccuracy to your prints! Don't kid yourself and think that glass comes in the same thickness as the original platform. The glass is thicker and in this case thicker is not better! Glass panels put a lot of strain on the mounting tabs. Why take a chance on breaking them and have your printer down for days waiting for parts? I like to tap my parts off with a back side of wooden hammer handle so no more worries on breaking the plate. Throw it in the freezer for a few. No problem! MakerBot Replicator 2 3D Printer. Excellent condition, perfect working order, with only 8 hours of extrusion time(see LCD screen) This is a great little printer. I purchased it just over three months ago from MakerBot for a review of the product(it passed) and for a project. The review took about an hour and a dozen prototype robot shells required the remaining seven hours. I highly recommend the printer. I had to move to a much more expensive printer because my resolution requirements just couldn't be met by a sub-$50K printer. Comes with the power supply. USB cable, flash memory with infamous'shark' and other samples to print, modest booklet and a pair of hex wrenches. If you want details on this printer, the best resource is the online videos produced by MakerBot. The ONLY issue with this(or any other printer with this design) ... moreprinter is the need to adjust the platform so that it's perfectly level. Relative to the extrusion nozzle. Of course, I spent 30 minutes getting the platform perfectly level on my desk. After shipping, you can expect to have to spend a half hour adjusting the platform, just as you would if you purchased it directly from the manufacturer. The one-time setup isn't that painful, thanks to a good video tutorial on the MakerBot site. The unit ships with a spool of milk-colored PLA- the spool is about 20 meters shorter than when I received it. As you can see in the photo. The extruder is clean. There aren't any obvious scratches or abrasions on the unit- it's been used on my desk(air conditioned, non-smoking environment) Domestic only. Please.

This is my Makerbot TOM(thing o matic) I bought it new and am the only owner of it. It has not been used very hard so it has a lot of life left in it. It has a"MK 6 plus" extruder which is half a generation below the MK 7 extruder. It uses 3mm filament. I am including 10+ pounds of abs 3mm in various colors. Green. Glow in the dark green, black, red, plain, etc. It has a heated build platform installed and I will include the parts to put on the Automated Build platform with allow the machine to make a part, remove the part from the platform when it cools and make another part without input from the user. I included a pic of some prints I made with it. These will not ship with the printer. I am keeping them. This is a near-new MakerBot Replicator Dual Extrusion. I took receipt of it a few months ago. Set it up and did some printing just for purposes of experimentation. Total printing time is about 20 hours or so. Rather than provide all of the data on the machine. You can go to the manufacturer's web site Makerbot to take a look(I still don't understand eBay's silly no-link policy! It's still the current model. These are very easy to use, but require a bit of patience to tune. There's a tremendous amount of support available from the manufacturer, and you can get any part you need. You'll download the Replicator software, Google Sketchup(or whatever you use to draw) and away you go! The printer has no fingerprints. Selling my used makerbot cupcake cnc. Z axis rods are a little rusted but only in the places where the z axis nut doesn't even reach. Other than that everything is ship shape. I put a few clear coats on the wood when I got it along with white on the inside to protect it. Comes with 1 heated build platform. 2 or 3 of the original build platforms, the conveyor belt dealio(never had much luck with it. and all the other fixings that normally comes with it. Selling because I upgraded with another printer and this is a little too loud for my apartment. The loudness is due to a combination of the design of the printer itself(pretty much just a wooden soundbox when it comes to dealing with the vibration of the machine) and belt tension. PARKER DAEDAL X-Y POSITIONING TABLE, cnc, 3d printer, makerbot, mach 3, linux
Up for auction today is a used Parker daedal X-Y positioning table. Retail on this table is over $20K. Buy it here for a fraction of that. This is very large table, total travel is 22.5 inches. Table has pre-wired limit switches and home switches on both axis. Table comes with Parker compumotor stepper motors on both axis. Motor part number is A/ax83-135. The motors have an extended shaft for easy encoder installation. I believe the table part number is 330242s20elh, however the last digits on the part number badge are worn and not clear. The table is in overall good condition, however one of the plastic ball screw covers is cracked, however this will not affect table performance, see the last photo for clarification. The axis move smoothly and seem to be in good condition. Genuine Makerbot Replicator 2 Desktop 3D Printer + 7 Spools PLA
Up for bid is a used Makerbot Replicator 2 3-D printer. I have two videos on YouTube showing the printer working and some tips and tricks. Search my eBay ID'stealthsharkalpha' on YouTube and you can find them. I have owned it less than a year and bought it from another seller on eBay. The current firmware is version 7.5. It shows a build time of 21 hours. However I'm pretty sure that before I updated the firmware the build time was somewhere around 200 hours. So I guess somehow updating the firmware reset the counter for some reason, I have no idea why. The printer is in good working condition. I had to replace the heater block, screw, and nozzle because the last one got clogged. So because this has been done, the printer should have many hours of printing before any maintenance is required- besides leveling the build plate of ... morecourse. I have upgraded the acrylic build plate to a machined aluminum build plate. Which is supposed to be more durable, flatter, and less likely to warp. The acrylic build plate is also included and is not warped, it is in fine condition if you want to use that for printing. The plunger assembly is the upgraded version from Makerbot and works well. I also got an extra heat sink for the stepper motor on the front-to-back axis to help keep it run cooler. I have some thermal adhesive you can use if you want to attach it. The heat sink fan is upgraded to a ball bearing fan, which is more durable than the cheap fan that is factory installed. I am including all the original documentation and tools, a partially used roll of painters tape, some extra nozzles, an extra piece of kapton tape, and seven rolls of PLA filament in the following colors: Two Black, One White, One Red, One Purple, One Clear, and One Glow-In-The-Dark Green. Each roll was originally 2.2 kg and has way more than half of the original filament on it, except for one black roll. The other black roll is brand-new unused.
