Up for auction we have the Paymaster Series S-1000 Check Writer. It is the vintage avocado green with a bright green handle. The levers all move with ease. The“clear” lever works to bring the display back to zeroes, and the key actually locks the handle in place when turned. The inside looks pretty clean. The back has“Carl’s Drive-In” written on it in black marker. I do not know where this might have been located. The outside may need to be cleaned up a bit. There is one larger rust spot on the back left corner. Please see photos. Notes: This item was donated to a charitable organization and I am selling it for them. Vintage Paymaster S-1000 Check Writer / Embosser Mechanical Excellent
This is a Paymaster S-1000 Check Writer/ Check stamping machine from my personal collection. I have had it for years. And taken good care of it. Unfortunately I do not have space for it any more, and it is time for it to go to a new home. It's a great looking item. And it draws attention where ever it goes. It is in full working order, all of the adjustments work, and it even still has ink left in it. The ink is old and faded, though. The ink can be replenished by opening the front panel. The key is missing. But the machine is unlocked, meaning it is fully operational without the key. The key allows the unit to be locked to prevent it from being operated. This machine is completely mechanical- no batteries, no electrical cords. The levers adjust the amount of money in dollars and cents(up to 99999 dollars and 99 cents) And the lever on ... morethe right side stamps a check. The amount of money selected on the display is the amount stamped and printed on the check. It uses a heavy emboss and perforation stamp to ensure the stamp can not be modified.
