Letter Opener Butter Knife Silver Colored Shell Design Handle
Pictures show views of a vintage item that could be a letter opener. Butter knife, book mark or something else. It is silver colored and a magnet will not stick to it so it could be silver or silver plated. It has tarnish and blemishes. I tried some toothpaste on a small area of the blade and it cleans up O.K. so suspect proper compound and elbow grease could reveal a real jewel! Handle has some very detailed sea shells. I do not know how old this is and don't see any manufactures markings but it has a nice heft and might be of interest to someone that appreciates quality. Than again, it might not.
