~ PAYMASTER X- 550 ~ This is a wonderful vintage check stamp machine by PAYMASTER. Built in Chicago IL by The Paymaster Corp. This machine was made to stand up to the tests of time. The original price of the machine is on the metal serial tag and was $134.50. That was a lot of change back when this was released. Machine seems to work like a champ. I am not an expert on these. But the press seems to work well and will leave even clear markings on plain paper. All it appears to need is a good internal cleaning and new ink rollers.
